Williams and Quintana are inconsistent (especially quintana given his two fights with williams) but on their upsides they can be pretty tough competitors. you're right that neither of them have the stuff to really give pacman trouble. but still, they're contenders.

@haljordanphil see the problem i have is that if the weight ain't an issue why did pac-team say they'd charge Cotto 1 million compensation for anything above 145? why was Roach saying he'd pull out if his weight was anything above 145? and yet, with Clottey it was no big deal? why? because Clottey isn't a hard hitter like Cotto. and as we saw on the 24/7, a week before the fight and while Manny is eating 6000calories a day, Cotto was skipping meals to make weight.

@haljordanphil, judah's a 6-round fighter and he lacks courage and heart....but he's still a good fighter if he puts his mind to it. Williams and Quintana are inconsistent (especially quintana given his two fights with williams) but on their upsides they can be pretty tough competitors. you're right that neither of them have the stuff to really give pacman trouble. but still, they're contenders.

It's mostly the media that gives credit to Pacquiao for the 7 division thing, it's something to talk about but belts at this point don't mean much, it's only about who you fight. Jones did move up, but he hand picked all his guys too, I don't remember him asking David Tua or Rahman for a fight. Anyways Cotto is a fighter, not some guy bulls-h-i-tter and to true fans Cotto will be remembered for takng these fights unlike these other guys who don't want to fight nobody.

boxing is not about the math ur wrong about that its about the science manny has a very small bone frame or bone structure for him to put too much weight and asian is known for having a very small frame.. his not like roberto duran who is a heavy big boned boxer.. you see if u put too much weight into a small frame body ur bones may not handle that much weight which can cause bad health issues specially to the bones

Cotto has legal troubles and a contract that says that he doesn't get to just "take a year off". Also, do you know how small a guy is at 108 lbs. You were probably 108 in 5th grade. Cotto is the title holder and could have easily bypass this fight and refuse it. Retirement and taking break is totally different. Mayweather said he's done with sport. The deal with Mosley is already being worked after this since Mayweather does not want to negotiate with Arum. Maybe # 2 p4p is still good and # 1 after this. This is a tough fight. there's an interview somewhere here in youtube where Bob Arum said that Pac, while watching cotto-clottey fight, saw some flaw in cotto and gave Arum greenlight for cotto fight. in other words, Pac's become sorta like PBF: cashcow name, NOW he dictates who he fights. i'm a pac-nut-hugger, but it's true that cotto's no walk in the park fight. Also business-wise, Pac saw Cotto got a huge fanbase from puertorico like hatton from uk. Unlike PBF though, Pac sLugs it out & does it fast.
