Looks strange. It seems to be a model of an ia-supernova where a burnt out small star (white dwarf) sucks matter from another star. Once the mass of the white dwarf reacesh the critical point it collapses into a neutronstar which causes a supernova. So it should actually be the small white dwarf that explodes.
