  • Land Cruiser...a constant benchmark where form always follows function...

  • Go Toyota! :)

  • The best car ever built....

  • Every time I watch this video, an unremovable smile appears :)

  • WHY THE HELL CAN I NOT GET ONE OF THESE IN THE US?!

  • @newdimensionfilms You're Kidding?!?!?! They're common as mud in Australia. How the heck are they not available in USA?

  • @newdimensionfilms Oh i bet i know why, now that I think about it. They may not meet US emissions standards, and may also not meet some safety standards.

They're big, tough as nails vehicles made for extremely tough conditions. But that means they may fail some US tests. (They're sure not that great to drive around a city, i can promise you!) But for a long journey on dirt or no road, they're perfect.

  • aussie crusiers look better we got hood scoops and drop sides tray backs (pick up)

  • I love this car i wish i could get one in the US!! Niceee!! Toyota Rock on!!

  • I want the pick up Land Cruiser 70 soooooooo bad !

  • here in canada we can at least import JDM diesels if they are 15 years old and i have an HDJ81 cruiser 5 speed. damn its an amazing truck.

i have also owned and sold two 70 series, one swb and one lwb and they are amazing trucks, the 1Hz is a beast as well as the 1HDT

america can keep all their "tough" trucks in their own country thank you!

  • Does Toyota still make these trucks ? if so what do they look like now we are in 2010 ? Are they still as tough ?

  • @wescobts they sell them as what you see here in Australia. I feel for you mate. It's not fair. Why can't they sell them all over the place.

  • @wescobts

Yep, just as tough. Looks are almost unchanged from earlier models.

The V8 (although the engine is detuned so you can get a million kilometres from them) is a well regarded engine. If you try, you can also get as good as or slightly better mileage than the thee arlier 4.2 motor).

I have a friend in the USA (who has driven these in Australia) and he is beggin for them to be in the USA........

  • @wescobts thats right, 2010 models are exactly the same, the only electronic component in the car is the stereo (if equipped)

  • Great video ! I truly wish we could get these in the states

  • haha living in australia is great, kepp yall f-trucks america

  • Comment removed

  • and i thought the australian 70 series was spartan! you dont even get the v8!

  • They should sell these things in the U.S.

  • Yes! Yes they should.

    Anyone at Toyota USA listening???

  • even if they did they would add IFS to it and strip the diesel engine and replace it with a petrol engine

  • Respect vehicle keeping it real on dusty roads, but how does it perform in arctic conditions such as here in northern Sweden?

  • Awesome car, does it come in auto?

  • no it does not

  • Excellent

I dream to by in Europe a new 70 series powered by the 4500 diesel engine
