  • My favorite movie. *sigh*

  • I dunno, maybe it's a good movie, but everybody in this trailer looks like a monied fuck that deserves to die.

  • This is truly one of my favorite movies. Love it.

  • This reminded me of Gossip Girl so much but more tasteful.

  • Gossip girl much? Lol.

  • I would also say that there are huge similarities between this and Gossip Girl.

  • Oh my, Digger Stiles ...

  • Chris Eigeman is the most awesome actor nobody knows about!

  • This is my favorite film, EVER.

  • whit stillman is coming back soon !!!!!

  • beautiful movie, as the book it is inspired from Scott Fitzgerald This side of Paradiese isnt it?

  • Where the hell is Whit Stillman?! We need more Whit Stillman!

  • @thegreatestbak yea but who is clever and understandable?

  • WHERE IS WHIT STILLMAN?! The world needs another Whit Stillman movie...soon!

  • @nickystartup

As of right now, he is working on spec scripts.

  • Does anybody else see the huge similarities between this movie and the book/movie Nick and Norah's Infinite playlist.

Triss is Serena, Audrey is Norah, Tom is Nick. Audrey and her friends went to school with Serena who had many bf's at a time. Audrey fell in love w/ Tom thru his letters

Norah and her friend went to school w/ Triss who had many bfs @ a time. Norah feel in love with Nick thru his mix cds

  • I quit watching nick and norah after the first 20 minutes.

  • @walkawayrenee1 or this and gossip girl. not all the characters match up but it's like someone took this movie and made the characters less intellectual and more evil and updated it for our era.

  • I LOVE this movie.

  • i just saw this for the first time yesterday, after not even having heard of it before. aaaaaaand it might be one of my favorite movies ever.

    no, it definitely is.

  • @OlderWaiter After much wrestling with a group of wonderful films, I finally started to order them, and this was tied for 1st place with Antonioni's BlowUp (which I think goes hand in hand with this film as the yang to Stillman's yin, in that Metropolitan shows the few things that are important in this world, like manners and how one treats others, and Blow-Up is a wonderful examination of someone who's given up on them). Shortly after that are The Third Man and Sundays and Cybele (tied for 3).

  • I love this movie!!

  • nick is awesome character

  • does anyone know what song plays in Rick Von Sloneker's bedroom on Chap24?

  • I love this movie and Last days of disco, however my favorite of the trilogy is Barcelona. What a fantastic hat trick those three were.

  • I'd love to see some film by Harmony Korine and Larry Clark where the cast of "Kids" meets the cast of "Metropolitan",

featuring Dennis Hopper as the parole officer.

  • LOL!!!!!!!! Audry's virtue would be in serious danger.

  • That would be genius...

  • Great film; one of the greatest. You can see its influence in so many other films, etc.

  • A cult classic and a cinematic missing link to my childhood. I used to watch "King of New York" with Christopher Walken all the time and this preview was on there. I finally saw "Metroploitan" after about 15 years and 100 preview watchings later. A delightful film, I'm surprised that none of the actors went on to bigger and better things.

  • What, just the four of us love this movie. If I were on a island with only one movie to play over and over; this would be it. My favorite of all time. Next favorite, Se7en. Go figure?

  • it was a great movie. what is the name of the song used in this trailer?

  • Fantastic film. This deserves a place on the AFI's lists.
