My favorite music choices are castlevania legacy of darkness with reinhardt in the tunnel,and also castlevania legacy of darkness with cornell at the art tower that music is very beautiful,and the clock tower as well. I really dont know the other ones but those are my 3 for legacy of darkness.

@bboychi1 I'll be honest, as someone who's played the series since Simon's Quest(and gone back to play Vampire Killer), the only memorable song from SCIV to me is Chandeliers. SCIV played very well but it fell into the trap of most early SNES games in that it didn't properly take advantage of the system's sound hardware and it ended up sounding really muddy

That said, I really approve of the choices on this list, even if they're not exactly what I would have chosen. Cross a Fear has rocks

For Lament of Innoncence "Dark palace of waterfalls" is a very good one, and for me the best, pal :D

For SotN..." Lost painting" ist right, but i think it's better "Wandering ghosts" and "Woodcarving partita"

if you did a top listing for the FF series would you include songs from fan made albums? like "final fantasy tactics: the diaries of olan?  there's actualy 3 editions for the album and the composeres edition is the complete set but it's a rare download. i might be uploading it soon if you don't now it.

Well kinda. Dracula X Nocturne in the moonlight was the name of the Japanese version of Symphony of the night. And SotN is like a indirect sequel to Dracula X Rondo of Blood.

So the original Dracula X is Rondo of Blood.

o thanks! i only played SoTn, Catslevania 64, Casltevania for Gameboy, and Castlevania for SNES. the first song kinda sounded like a remix of 1 of the SoTn songs....or mayb thats just me. SoTn was 1 of my fav games of all the time. Castlevania 64 just ended with a cliffhanger when the character entered a room at the end. do u kno if theres a part 2 or an expansion?

@PinkChibi: You mean the lyrical version of Nocturne, or the version that plays after you beat Dracula in the opening of Symphony of the Night? If the first, you won't find anything, the version of Nocturne with lyrics never was translated and never even made it to the states. If the second, probably check Blue Laguna or Galbadia Hotel.

Actually, the "versions" are two different songs with similar names. Moonlight Nocturne is the song that plays during the text after you beat Dracula as Richter in the prologue.

Nocturne is a hidden song that can be unlocked by some means (I think it has something to do with Alucard sleeping in a chair and the fairy being out). It was released in English last year on the PSP game. If you check my favorites I have a video of it (look for Chibi-Alucard snoozing in a chair).

Cross a fear is probably my favorite Castlevania track ever. The PC Engine original is great, as is the Dracula Battle version. The PSP version is decent too.

The PS2 games seem to have some good music, in the same vein as Symphony of the Night. However, I just do not like the 3D Castlevania games at all.

Me neither.. If they were 2.5D, then they could be decent, like PSP version of Rondo, which I liked alot. But nothing beats 2D. DS titles are pretty good. :p Still nothing beats first "Castleroid", that is SotN.. :D

Nocturne is from SYpmhony of the Night. The english version is from Dracula X Chronicles. It's a secret song you get when sitting down on a chair and have your fairy familiar with you.. Wait some time and the fairy starts singing that song. ^^
