The fields I play at inspect foreign equipment and make you shoot in front of a radar gun as well to test velocity. They also have refs that patrol the fields often. if they caught you launching potatoes, your ass would be out in a heartbeat.

On a side note, don't play with stupid people. You're only as safe as the most unsafe player in the game. Check people when they need it. No need for some jerk to ruin the sport for everyone by blowing a hole in some kids chest.

No CO2 isn't as good as compressed air. CO2 pressure varies depending on the outside temperature, compressed air tanks otherwise known as N2 tanks or oxygen tanks, do not have that problem therefore you get consistent pressure giving you a constant speed for when you fire, letting you fire straighter. In other words compressed air is better to use than CO2 due to that advantage. So it's not a safety issue of it blowing you up.

Shooting multiple smaller projectiles requires "wadding" similar to how a musket is loaded and similar to how we shot the nerf rocket.

You pack a piece of paper towel with a handful of bbs and wrap it up with the open end facing out of the barrel.

Before placing the bb wad into the barrel, you put additional paper towel wadding into the barrel first.

Then insert the bb wad.

Pack wadding and ammo in securely, take aim and fire.

Think of it as a giant airsoft shotgun/grenade launcher.

In a scenario game, the thing to use against a tank is whatever the field allows.

The nice thing about the scenario games is that in most cases you use what you want. Against an "armored" tank/car wtv...

It usually doesn't so much matter what the projectile is, only that the round hits. Usually, you get a referee to watch as you shoot and the ref. calls the hit(s).

Then, once you've made your hits, the Ref. will call the tank destroyed/damaged etc...

This is really not likely to occur. The CO2/compressed air canisters are manufactured to withstand extreme pressures and are usually manufactured out of high strength materials like steel, aluminum and even carbon fiber.

While we used it as a spud gun, it is of a much higher quality than the average do it yourself spud launcher.

The look and feel of it is like nothing we've seen made out of local hardware store parts.

Plus it uses a much safer method of payload propulsion. (CO2 not hairspray/lighter fluid etc...)

You are paying for grade A engineering and fit and finish.
