@gibsonlespaul2 ABS has changed the drivers available on their site several times since this video was made. At the time it did not work. I later did get it to work before upgrading to a better headset.
@Davemercd I had 32 bit XP and it didn't work. There have been driver updates since then fixing the problem I had. I now use windows 7 and it worked great. I actually upgraded to a better headset as well.
I found out the problem for the random cracking or peeping noise in the headset. When i would use programs that were demanding on my CPU such as fruity loop, it would pop. It wasn't a driver issue for me, it was a CPU issue (or the lack of required CPU).
Because this headset requires USB as a simulated sound card, it is much harder on the computer if your computer sucks, I absolutely love my ABS AZ-1 and recommend it to anyone. O! and get windows 7. Much better than XP any day.
I never did get it working in XP. I switched to windows 7 and there aren't drivers for 64 bit yet. I have heard of people getting it to work under XP. I would go for a different headset to be safe.
Psh, The drivers work just fine dude... Install the right driver on the disk. -.-

Yes well I have a decent enough computer so it's no problem and Windows 7 is great.

@swh1ch It is usb so it very well could be. I'm sure if you were running linux on the ps3 it would work. If I had a ps3 I would try it. sorry.

If you still cared I now have it working. The virtual surround is very good too.

It works great for video games on my laptop, but it sounds like crap for youtube. It pops like a mofo. Let me know if you've fixed that.

crispydave2 2 years ago
Newest drivers on windows 7 don't have that problem.
