World Warrior Guile is arguably 'Broken'. HF Guile, which Watson's using here, is not considered broken by anybody but scrubs really. I play HF all the time (Ken, Ryu and Bison mostly) and I think it takes lots of skill to play and win with Guile. I hate Guiles but it takes skill and HF guile isn't broken.

Why did that Ken player repeatedly throw up a shoryuken? Expert Guile players will never poke a SRK user at that range. It didn't work the first time and yet he kept using it over and over. Throwing out the fireballs, which he did in the beginning, was working perfectly. He had his space, he was doing chip damage and he was making Guile come to him.

Usually when someone steps into c. mk range they throw out a poke. So Ken tried to react to that pre-emptively by throwing out an SRK.

He didn't realize that it wasn't working until the last round, and by then it was already too late.

Yes, thats exactly whats happening, specificaly its Guile's c.MK he's trying to hit, since most Guile players use that like a boxers jab, to range find and keep opponents at bay. But Mike isn't 'most Guile players'..

@hazeddon It's more than that. He kinda gets a feel for how Ken is going to react. Since the guy is hadoken happy, he waits for him to stop and jump to throw or something like that. Or he punishes teh hadoken when he's in sweeping range.
