  • my F-15 model is shit compared to this xD

  • Looks like major silvering under the decals. He should have used a gloss coat.

  • @ilara72

You've got better eyes than me- don't see any silvering at all.

  • awesome model !!!! love it!

  • you need tiny nuts to be able to do this

  • Awesome model Sir,I`m a retired Air Force crew chief .I worked F-15 and F-16`s for almost 24 years.Amazing details, you are a fantastic builder Sir.David USAF RET.....

  • what kind of paint is used tfor shading, at 2:40?? Nice job!!

  • How does he easily wipe off the excess black (XF1) that he applies starting at 2.06

    Can anybody explain?

  • what thinne did he usei tried and and i failed... please help!

  • want to be happy ...?

    humor.wapiblog.com

  • Pssst... just so you know... the aircraft from 1:47-1:52 is not the F-15E, but a Naval F/A 18 Hornet. 2 completely different birds.

  • what is the difference between F15C and F15E? i can't tell 'cause i still haven't have them both.. i only have C

  • @xCrosSxKnInE The most noticeable difference on the "E" are these big bulges that run along the sides. These are called FAST packs and contain fuel and other systems that are unique to the "E". Among other things are fatter tires, stronger landing gear, see-in-the-dark gear, bulged landing gear doors, more vents for APUs and things like that. The camouflage is much darker as well.

  • @miguelitogg

note tho, that F-15`s were using FAST packs before the E came out.

Here in Europe, the Eagles based at Kevlavik were easely identifyable when they came to Soesterberg, they always had on FAST packs.

  • Didn't understand a word but watched all six episodes and thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Hope to see more.

  • Congratulations. I liked your video.

  • Damn , What an Awesome Build! Cockpit needs to be Lit Up with LEDs...He could use some Pastel Chalk(Black) for his Afterburner Exhaust...it does get extremely Hot and smoky burn look, or use Pigment powder...Cheers! 5*

  • I love Tamiya they're such a great company. Most of my 1/35 and all my 1/48 scale armour is Tamiya. Just out of curiosity, did someone purchase the kit for you to build for the video or is a simple how-to-do? Awesome build the only after market item I noticed that you got was the decals. What's the make?

  • They don't have nose art like that. at most an AF emblem or a Rocketeers emblem because it's yellow.

  • Why is he showing a vid of a F/A-18 when he is working on a F-15? Did I miss a memo?

  • damm chang me love you long time me so horny me sucky sucky love you good

  • on 2:12 is this simple oil colore??

  • @CallFor911 I think it is tamiya enamels (I think thats what he was mixing before) and he made it into a wash

  • Not gloss-coating before putting on decals is kind of an amateur mistake. $150 kit, probably $50 worth of paint (Alclad is expensive), $20 custom decals, and the end result in all silvered. No decal softener in the world will settle over flat paint.

  • @Ficon agreed. The silvering is horrible on a otherwise nice build.

  • @Madera1966 Yeah, shame on that one. I personally would have used a gloss coat on top of the base and another semi-matte on top of the decals to seal. Also it's never a good idea to cut the film from the decals as it adds yet more wrinkles.

  • @miguelitogg Guys, than make a fucken video and let's see your skills. This guy was helping a novice modeller like myself a lot more than you and ''Ficon'' running your mouths like little girls.

  • WOAH!! looks very nice!! Tamiya makes such nice models.

  • @CyclonicTuna023 Yeah, but they come at high price, that huge 1/32 F-15 is like over $100. But, you know what they say, you get what you pay for. . .

  • very nice, tho for the visors of the pilot i like to use a really shiny paint so it glimmers like the real thing haha

  • doesn't it come already built?

  • Realer than the real ones!

  • Es muy bueno este video, me sirvió mucho para mi maqueta y puedo decir que de observar y observar me di cuenta de algunos detalles, sólo para mencionar alguno las calcas quedaron con silvering, como puede ser? en fin igual está bueno.

  • Can anyone tell me what the black detail mix used to highlight the panels of this masterpiece?

  • im guessing its an acrylic wash...cuz he sprayed a coat of gloss before. JUST A GUESS ok :)

but i recomend oil washes instead there alot easier to clean. hope it helps :)

  • it looks as if the narrator says "enamel" when the tamiya flask of XF-1 is shown.

  • @acanthopleura The small SQUARE bottles are Tamiya Enamel Paint, the round bottles are Tamiya Arylic paint....The difference between the two kind of paint bottles is easy to spot, and the process can therefore be followed without understanding Japanese language, so YES he used Enamel paint!

  • ye its called paint..

  • What is that stuff that he sprayed after putting the decals?

  • Antiquing paint

  • AWESOME WORK

  • why did it start showing an F/A-18 in the middle of the video?

  • so you can compare the 2( model and real thing)

  • ...the model is an F-15 -___-

  • Because they are dumb i guess

  • he absolutely raped that model.

seriously, that's the best aircraft i've ever seen. just mindboggling.

  • what did he use to paint the cockpit glass with yellow

  • If you mean the canopy I think it is a liquid masking tape, like maskol.

  • looks like "liquid mask", humbol make a purple version of this , i have found this can sometimes leave a ragged paint edge so i use tamiya masking tape around the edge of the frame and liquid mask for the other areas

  • There's silvering where are the decals. However a good job!

  • he only does the best aircraft in history hehe

  • i wish it was the Captain America nose art

  • Brilliant =) I wish I could build, paint and weather my models one day too like this guy.

  • "Soshite", means look hear? The narrator uses it very often. Subtitles would be very good.

  • Soshite means "and then..."

  • aah ty.

  • it means 'and'

  • Great aircraft, I think the only problem is that in the end when they rotate it around the light you can see the decals flashing in the light at the right angles. To prevent the decals from "flashing" I like to coat the model in a gloss sealant, then apply the decals, coat again in gloss, and then coat in a flat sealant. That way you can't see the decal "flashing" in the light. Other than that, nice F-15E, he's a master for sure!

  • Exactly! It took me a while before I understood that simple but effective technique. Decal setting solutions also help big time in getting rid of the carrier film, Solvaset is the best!

    Happy modeling!

  • there used to be an item called solve a set or solve a seal that eats away at the carrier film around the decal stopping it from silvering

  • yes, microscale has a whole kit for decals, solve a set would be "microset" and for thicker decals there is "microsol" the results are brilliant i'm sure tamiya also has their own sets

  • lol this isnt no model plane its freaking life size one haha.

  • beatiful.. i wish i could built one. but i lack patience

  • MAGNIFICO TUTORIAL muchos de nosotros llevamos mucho tiempo en este mundo pero ese nivel es impresionante

  • This kit is too big to my room..

  • English subtitles, please?

  • he owns Robert Taylor prints and has a nice room. but he airbrushes and sprays like the place is his garage. not to mention no vents!

  • Very nice! I wish we had a TV show over here in the US like this, the general public just doesn't understand! This series really gives a great deal of respect and honor to the modeler's endevors and the music lends a real heroic feel to it all!

  • awesome finish. i have one question, when he used the flat black to detail the plane. did he put it on and then rubbed it off? leaving the paint settle within the cracks?

  • cant undstand a word damn japanese

  • those idiots. not making it in engrish just 4 u! cos ur so special....

  • very good!!!!!!

  • What is the orange thing he used I want to buy some? help please

  • clear orange

  • at the beginning? masking liquid

  • @sleepylafiel what is the paint he is useing to show or bring out the panels

  • @Netta908 It's black enamel wash. A mix of about 3:10 of paint and thinner respectively.

  • @spriggan54 White glue works just as well.

  • Excelente tutorial

  • its very cool video

  • Great video than you much for posting it!

  • that is amazing....i'm too lazy to do all that...lululu
