Did you know that the canal scene was shot at the St Martin canal. If you can get on Google Earth, find the star of roads where the Bastille round-about is and go north. The canal disappears under the Bastille area but reappears north of it. The spot is between the Bastille and where the canal bends slightly east. You can see on "Earth" that it's mostly covered with trees..as in the movie. The rest of the canal is pretty much to the open sky..The restaurant is @ 15 Rue Lepic (Lepec(spelling?)).

and another question; there's a certain pieice of music in Amelie, quite famous, sounds like a requiem, different style to the rest of the music. About half an hour or so into the film when she goes from being really happy to sad, when watching a funeral on tv (i think), she gets out some tissues. What is the piece of music?? i'd really appreciate it, it's really bugging me!!

this is my favourite film, too...I really like the way Jeunet makes films...the descriptions of people, Amelies thoughts about Nino coming too late and all the other details that make Amelie unique...

and I think the music of Coldplay fits perfectly to this film. I simply love "see you soon"!

My favorite scene is when he's in the cafe. There's a moment where they both turn to look at each other and amelie doesn't wanna be caught so she turns around quickly. It's on 1:32 of the mix. I can relate,lol. Also the part in the kissing scene where his nose grazes her cheek, LOVE that part!! It's on 2:30 of the mix. :)

i love all of it of course but the parts that make me the laugh the most are the men in the passport photos clipped to the lamp by his bed and when the fragile man has a delivery of food and teaches the boy to say rhymes about his boss. the most romantic bit is when she goes on the fairground ride and he breathes on her neck... :)

your welcome. Yeah, I know what you mean about the kissing scene. I think it's the only kissing scene I've ever scene where I feel a lil uncomftorable. Jean Pierre Jeunet said he wanted the audience to feel it. It was the first time Amelie and Nino were kissing and it was a bit awkward for them and he wanted the audience to be able to feel that.
