thats the sickest banjo ive ever seen. much props brotha, keep up the good work. Have you sold any of these by the way? Id say you could make some dough. I know our banjo player would love one. Jam On man... and message me a price
Great job. I've been wanting to make a scroll peg head for one of my banjos too. Yours looks great. Where did you get the pot?
You, obviously, are pretty accomplished banjo player - which helps in selling your own stuff. I just (and I mean just) started playing banjo. I made my first banjo before I could even play. I'm getting better - though. Having hammer on and pull off skills from guitar does help. But, it took me forever to get the bum-ditty down.
hey bud, well, i made the pot out of birds eye maple using the pie cut method (meaning) cutting six rainbow like pieces, angling them to fit perfect into a circle..i made two of those then glued them together vertically on the off set. the scroll was made by just eyeing everthing out. the hardware was bought from a luthier vendor shop online..tuning pegs were made out of cocobolo wood and carved with a pencil sharpening type jig i made myself. The bridge is maple and cocobolo wood.Love yer work!
thanx man, i built this sucker myself. they are nickel steel strings. though, this sucker would sound good with gut or nylon string as well. the tuning pegs were hand carved with a pencil sharpener type jig. the scroll was hand carved with chizels, gauges, rasps, and scrapers. it has a calve skin head and a "scoop" tawards the lip of the neck for clawhammer style banjo. your posts are cool too man! i dig the heck out of em! :o)
i love it!!!

HOT! If I could, I'd love to buy it, esp. after that performance. What kind of strings are you using (i.e., steel, nylon, etc.). KEEP POSTING!
