I owned the 2010 scratch 9, and just got the 2011The 2011 rear shock tunning made a big difference when it comes to square edge bumps!! I am going to upgrade the wheels to Easton Havocs. I also put on a raceface atlas dh bar for the added width and control.

im 12 and i love freeride/downhill and alittle climbing but i live 3hrs from my nearest dh park(Diablo freeride park) ive been there once but on my local you need lower than 120mm travel to be comfortable on the trail!!!!!!!!! help any suggestions:(

@theguitarguru98 suck it up. sorry thats all i got. either that or get a XC bike. you might be able to put the lockout on with some major slack on the fork but im not too sure how you would be able to do that without a remote for the rear.

@aubbie666 yeah i just purchased my first downhill bike,i got a 2010 scratch air 8 for $3900 and ive never got into downhill before,and yes it is a mad rush and have respect for dh riders,but u cant say that twisting a 2 stroke throttle full noise through trails and hitting big jumps is not a better rush,each to there own i suppose.....
