I still think Kitaro and Jan Garbarek are the best. Yann came later ......... I have been listening to Kitaro sence 1988, but Jan Garbarek sence 1975-76......... Yanni started in the 70-80s to, but most of what I can rember was just soft romantic rock, he started lot later with his serius stuff, and it kind of drowned in all the other good once..... just my 2 cents of the day..........

I remember waking up in the middle of the night and my mother would be in the living room reading and listening to Kitaro. This was back in the late 80's. I never forgot silk road. And I never forgot Kitaro. Now as an adult I do the same thing. The man is just amazing as are all the musicians that play with him. I'd like to know who that guitar player is though....

I first saw this concert on a PBS special, and I was so impressed, that I went and bought every Kitaro cd I could find. I was a bit disappointed when I found all his music wasnt this type of rock, but yet I cherish every one of his cd's. Great mind music and meditation material. And Angus Clarke, the lead guitarist here, now is with the west coast version of the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Saw him twice wth TSO, and he rocks. And thank you to Kitaro. His music has helped me through hard times.
