In Europe, the Smart car gets about 70mpg hyw,
but the US government wouldn't allow it in for 8 years and not until it was redesigned to get 42 mpg hyw. Go figure.

What a fab motor car ! These cars dont look out of place in 2010. I think if a manufacturer were to bring a car out simular to this now with a modern fuel injected or better still turbo diesel engine in it it would be a winner.
