  • you just made my day ^_^

thank you so much for this tutorial! one of my favorite songs ever :)

  • Hope this video stays on here for a long time, needed to find a tutorial to such a heartstopping song. thanks!!

  • Thanks for the vid so much!!!!!

  • Laservius,

Thank you so much for taking the time to make a video of this. I usually don't like to learn songs through video tutorials but there aren't any sheets for this piece.

Any idea when part 3 will be done? (I'm not trying to be ungrateful).

    Peace out!

    Jesus

  • I'm sorry that it has taken so long to make the last part. I will try to get it done within the next couple of weeks.

  • Alright! In the mean time I will master part one and two.

    Thanks a lot man!

  • It has been a while.

Don't mean to rush you, just would like a general idea when you plan an finishing it. (It's your decision after all.)

    Best regards,

    ~R

  • oh, and thanks alot for this!@!!!@%$

  • Oh and thank you! Haha. I really appreciate this!

  • the song was recorded at his house while he was messing around...not a bootleg just the original lol

  • I know how it was recorded. But it was never officially "released". So, how did the song get out?

    That, I don't know.

  • i'm pretty sure he took it to the studio and they loved it as is...but i didnt hear that from anyone credible...awesome tutorials btw u the man

  • It's on the B-side of the No Suprises single... along with Palo Alto.

  • "Thom wrote and sang this song at home using his four track, but when he took it to the band as raw material they decided that it should stay as it was. Ed and Phil said that it "blew them away". The version on the B-side to "No Surprises" is, therefore, the original four-track recording. While Thom was creating the song, his girlfriend, Rachel, was in the kitchen putting away the groceries or making supper, and the noises she made can be heard in the background. • It was officially on the No Surprises single

  • @laservius Thanks a lot for this tutorial, it really helped. To answer your question of how the song surfaced, it was released as a B-side on No Surprises (yes, the original recording, extraneous sounds and all :P).

  • @laservius he took it into the studio and they put it on the no surprises single. it's also on the OK Computer collector's addition. That I get from looking for the sheet music xD thanks for this.

  • @laservius It was released on the single "No Surprises"

  • @laservius From the 'No surprises' single

  • @laservius It was though, it was released as a b-side to No Surprises.

  • @laservius its on the no suprises ep

  • I was just trying to put out this song, and found this.

    thank you! XD hahaha

I think a good explanation for such variations is that he was drunk while playing it XD

  • Thanks a lot for this one. This song is overwhelming to learn with all the subtle changes and lack of patterns and you did an awesome job breaking it down.

  • Amazing work as always laservius! Again, you have my thanks.
