Seriously, beating this game is one of my cherished memories. I'm not even big into video games, but when I beat this like 5 years ago, I carried the music and the lines from the dialogue with me until now. Christ, when I'm 80, I'll listen to this music and get the same feeling old people today do when they listen to tracks from... idk the Marx Brothers or something. This was an absolute classic. A treasure. If it were a painting it would make the Mona Lisa look like a shit stain.
The UNATCO theme may be the most popular, but personally I like the NYC Streets theme the most from DX1, followed by UNATCO and Paris Streets and the rest.
Probably because I was living in NYC at the time, but song this was my favorite song in the game. However, as I heard again, it doesn't sound a cool as I remember it.
my friend, i played and ended the game. I can tell you straight forward that one thing that i hated in deus ex 3 was the fact that people in the street were ridiculous and it pissed me off that you couldnt interect with them. also in deus ex 1 when you killed people you could grab what they had, in deus ex 3 anyone that you killed in the street never had anything with them
I just finished my fourth playthrough but listening to this track alone makes me wanna play it again. What a masterpiece and a bonus is that it´s being true to reality

you know i totally agree with you about the story and the vilans from the third, in that view the deus ex 3 totally sucks and the story it self as the caracters in general. Deus ex is one of those games that not many people have heard about but is one of the greatest games of all time. They made DX 3 to remind people of the series but I don't find DX 3 to be even close to as good of a game as DX 1! (a big difference is the lack of funny phrases)
I wish they made a DX that takes place during the time of DX 1 but in a different point of view. The music in the game is the best I wish they reused it somewhere.
I'm pretty sure I heard this in DX:HR in the streets of detroits. Didn't notice it at first but the massive thrill down my spine betrayed my nostalgia

@cerberuscore7 Just search "deus ex graphics mods" on Google or something, there will be a tutorial on how to install mods from Moddb, which should be the first result.
@Replican815 thanks, i'll keep that in mind. i'm not much of a computer gamer but after playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution and reading up a lot about Deus Ex and of course it's near-universal critical and industry acclaim, i really want to play it so i eventually plan on getting it at some point.
Man, Deus Ex is easily one of the best games I've ever played. I just finished Human Revolution. And now I'm thinking of finding my Deus Ex CD and playing through it for the billionth time. It's such a great game. It was one of the few games that you don't play, you experience. I wish there were more games like that.
@OrbitZombie i saw this comment and recognized metroid. i believe he means the luminoth temple music from metroid prime 2, it sounds somewhat similar to this track (well, the bass kinda does) /watch?v=hwjcq8Vwt24
But I hear people say things like this quite often on YouTube.

@OrbitZombie ah, i didnt see the comment saying it was ripping it off. yeah theres no way thats a ripoff, its just very similar. its not exactly a complicated melody, so its easily a coincidence
This track really sounds like music from Unreal. Probably because Siren composed it, too. Either him or Basehead; This doesn't sound like an MCA track.

Man to me this song pretty much represents Deus Ex, probably because I heard it for three hours strait on the first night I player it, but it still really seems to represent the game well.
I fucking love how this song builds up from a simple beat to a wonderful melody that creates and captures the feel of the game, and then it just "stops" and starts all over again (when it loops in-game).

Incredibly atmospheric.

I fucking love how this song builds up from a simple beat to a wonderful melody that creates and captures the feel of the game, and then it just "stops" and starts all over again (when it loops in-game).

One of my top 5 favorite tracks in the game. The ambience of this game's music is unmatched.

Fair enough. In any case, getting a hold of this game is a good thing no matter how it's done. :)
