yep all third gens with the LG4 motor came with Q Jet carbs. There very good carbs. Hows the body condition?

very good .. the car was sitting in a garage all the time.. only the fuelhose and the rear area are a little rusty... but its not that bad.

Just the exhaust was the only thing wich was already throu... swapped it > flowmaster ;)

Not bad after 13 years, yea, the carb probably needs to be tuned or rebuilt. Thats very surprising it ran after 13 years especially it being with a carb setup.

yeah,... but its not a "real" carb.. I got a 4BBL Quadrajet ;)

And as I wrote in the info, I swapped all the filters and oil before I fired it up..

Why does it idle so high? Dies when the carb idles lows?

I dont know.. it does idle itself that high.. I guess the cold start thing is stuck.. have to check it
