  • thank u for this what a great shot can u get other lens to get it closer of a view I'm geting the d3100 soon and does it comes with the this lens

  • 35mm f1.8 or 50mm f1.8 for portraits people!!

  • @AcornBurrka many beginners don't seem to understand this. they always think the big zoom lens are for portraits. 50mm on a crop sensor is perfect for portraits.

  • @AcornBurrka 50 1.4

  • what about jello effect? i wanna buy this lens too and i shoot a lot of videos with my 3100. Is that jello effect intolerable with this Nikkor 55-300? could you plz post some video with 55mm und 300 mm zoom ... tnx in advance!

  • @Prestnacon

thanks for watching and your comment!

look at my channel. all my other videos are filmed with the 55-300 lens. just make your own opinion.. ;)

for other questions, just ask me. :)

  • Is it good for indoor and outdoor portraits? I'm focused on portraits and I'm looking for something else because I'm using my 18-55mm at the moment. Since it's only 4.5F what do you think about night photo sessions?

    Thanks

  • For portraits the zoom is almost too big I thins. I mean, the biggest zoom of your 18-55mm is the smalest of the 55-300mm lens.. So for focus you have to stand like 3 meters away from your object, otherwise it isnt sharp.

With flash you can do very well photos in the night and of course also with a longer exposure. But for filming in the dark with the biggest zoom, 4.5F is just too less. Look at this video: /watch?v=afuHZqlxoT0

Overall I would really recommend you this lens!

  • Do you have another lense to recommend to me for great portraits with low f stops?

    Thanks @fantaa1993

  • @uoytem Maybe the AF NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8D.

You cant zoom but it has 1.8F.

  • @uoytem for me you should use the 35mm f/1.4 that's really good for portraits

  • in the photo is more the zoom/?>

  • @mariacyprusflor Thanks for your comment! :)

No, in photomode it is the same zoom, cause the Nikon D3100 has an objectiv (like other reflex cameras) where you have to zoom manuel. So it doesnt depend if you are filmig or making photos.

  • very sharp gotta get that some day

  • @yisasakopaka you have to! its such a good camera. for filming and takeing pictures!

    thanks for watching :)
