@heyroz27 ha ha ha that is funny because when I first bought the cd I put repeat on this song and me and my girl fell asleep to it and when we woke up it was still playing. It repeated all night. Such a great jam especially the guitar solo.
I would love 2 ask Jesse how he did this. In the liner notes on his "Ultimate Collection" he says he played this on twin guitars but did he mean a double neck or did he lay the electric part first then an acoustic later?
@fenderjones he sayin he overdub his guitar parts..you know he just played on top & with the 1st guitar track there's no acoustic all electric with pedals / processors..U know he should be tourin with the Time next year with their New Album they just did 3 shows like last month
Can totally hear the Prince influence...what a unique guitar sound...thanks always Trent for the heads up on your huge collection....Awe that head and heart of yours...keep em comin'
NO NO NO You don't hear NO prince in this SONG!!!!!! NO WAY NO HOW !!! prince don't play Blues !! he can't play Blues Guitars !!...its more on Curtis Mayfield style...real talk !...Happy New Year !
@ESSENCEOFEACHTHING there's no latin no where on this piece thats all BLUES i been playin off/on guitars & other instruments for 38yrs & study Jesse music life since 84..but if latin works for U then thats great just long U kept enjoying Jesse's
You say that you have been playing and studying music. But feeling it,feeling it is a different thing. There are no schools to educate us in feeling music. To you the blues is more pronounced. To me the latin is more pronounced.Th guitar playing in both genres are similar because they are related.
@ESSENCEOFEACHTHING "with all due respect" But What The HELL are U talking about ???...I never told YOU I study music at some institute, your comments is just all screwed-up...i see u still got this strong hard on, for a latin sound for this song & you kept saying...feeling it , feeling it is a different thing WHAT are U talking about ? WHAT are U trying to say...blues is more pronounced whats that ?? sorry it don't make sense to me

You can hear the latin influence.Play it and just pay attention to the guitar playing.Don't analyze it.Just feel it.Especially the solo.

He was the marvelous bassist for The Time - more talented and underrated than Morris Day.

@slynnmiller Jesse wasn't The Time's bassist. The Time's Bassist was Terry Lewis. Jesse was their guitarist.
