you can get the tulle from michaels or joanns either one but id prefer joanns if you have one in your city. Im currently making a tutu and i find an elastic band is easier and im just starting. Im making it for disney and my whole family is wearing tutus were trying to get the guys to wear tutus too!!! XD

@runzwithskizzros I think your thinking of Organza, Its sheer like tulle but is used has a overlay, and not to add puff. google for a close up pic and see the difference.
@runzwithskizzros It depends where you get it...around here you can get it anywhere from $1-10 for about 1.1 yards depending on where you get it and where they get it
I just did this using blue bin liners and it looks awesome! Its for a wild easter trip with uni so its pretty good that its water proof, not to mention it cost me nothing!! thanx!
@TheLittleJuggalette9 tulle comes in diff weights.. maybe you can buy a heavier weight tulle but that would probably require sewing and not tying.. also you might want to cut the ends into peaks. just a thought lol
@951softballchick951 I've never done this myself, but observing what others have done, just knot on a whole lot of tulle strips. Probably try to max out your ribbon/elastic strip.
@951softballchick951 A.double the amount...B)sew them in half upside down so the closed ends are puffy... C) use extra fabric(like a 5:1 ratio instead of 3:1) hope i helped! ^-^
@951softballchick951 I tried this and all u do is put a BUNCH of tulle all the way around, then tie tulle on top of those over and over until its like, 4 knots on top of each other. Then just fluff it up :) hope this helps and good luck XOXO

@951softballchick951 A.double the amount...B)sew them in half upside down so the closed ends are puffy... C) use extra fabric(like a 5:1 ratio instead of 3:1) hope i helped! ^-^

@951softballchick951 To make it poofy you basically just add more tulle and put the pieces as close together as possible.
