  • Shit.

  • Amazing! I love this cover as much as the original :D

It seems they're having fun :D

  • so many dislikes? I don't to live on this planet anymore :S

  • Niiicee vercion :D

  • I love Pulp, I like Franz Ferdinand. This was a live cover, so it's bound not to be perfect. But they're human guys? having fun? Just listen, it's a pretty fun cover :)

  • Destroyed? No, XD, there's just having fun, and now i'm having fun with them

  • they were drunk or wtf xD?

    Totally out of tune.

i love ff, but they distroyed a very good song.

  • This is fun and brings a smile to my face.

  • Geez, i almost love both bands, but, if mis-shapes wouldn't be a Pulp song, it would be the seveth song on Franz Ferdinand album.

  • Even though it's a joke...it still sounds great.

  • This is a simple, sloppy, probably rather unrehearsed cover on a radio show. As such I love it. What kind of a moron thinks this is a joke? They are not intentionally singing badly they are just having fun. That's what makes it kinda lovable.

  • @Scratchy20000 Well, i have heard artists having fun and keeping a descent level of intonation. A real musician finds hard to fail at intonation even when he's only teasing. If he is a real musician, he's mocking at his professionalism. Either the singer was drunk at the time or had not a single clue about the tone he was singing on. As for the other musicians, they nailed it at 2:20.

  • I've always really enjoyed this. I mean jeez, it's Franz Ferdinand, of course they can sing, it's just cool to hear them sound like the rest of us, lol.

  • Man, it pisses me off how many people don't realise it's not a "joke" as such, but that it's not a serious cover. To all saying "OMG THEY'RE SO CRAP LOL THEY'RE A REAL BAND HOW?", go listen to their actual songs. This is an easygoing cover that's not meant to be good in particular. It's meant to be fun and lazy. It's good in it's own right anyway, think about it! Think about the lyrics. "Mis-shapes, mistakes, misfits~" I'm pretty damn sure I said this before, but it adds a whole new level to it.

  • what a load of fuckin shit

  • I love Pulp. and I love FF. So I really tried to enjoy this, but it just got my toes curling, and not in a good way. at all.

  • This is shocking, i can't believe it was broadcast hahahah!

    Radio 1 Bless em'

  • OMG WUT

  • Craptastic.

  • It sounds like they're having fun with this.

  • I'm a Pulp fan, and I really enjoy FF. But I don't know why there's so many bad comments for this song. I think it's really good. And the rhythm guitar is great (listen to it!!!!)

    Orsojka, thanks!

  • lolol really bad

  • "bad cover version" - pulp obviously saw this coming

  • To everyone below saying this was a joke:

It wasn't a joke; jokes have to be funny to work.

  • Please, accept my heartfelt thanks for these wise words, Sir.

  • @John0Giacobbi I dunno I think it's kinda funny. Ha.

  • Makes me want to listen to Pulp, but this cover...not so much

  • A shag cover, Pulp pisses all over FF.

  • I actually like it. The acoustic version gives a very hippie protest song vibe to it.

  • Terrible cover. Thrashings should be dished out.

  • It is a cover that clearly wasn't meant to taken massively seriously as a major musical statement. Sounds like it came from a Radio program or something.

Clearly there is quite a few music snobs who don't actaually play themselves to understand that music is supposed to be played with to amuse yourself. Not every song has to sound like its been professionally recorded and mixed. Idiots.

  • A very Bad Cover Version indeed.

  • PULP is PULP. And nobody does it better. Fuck franz ferdinand and keane and everyone else.

  • "And nobody does it better."

but thats by all bands.Pulp is Pulp, Franz Ferdinand is Franz Ferdinand.

the word "cover" doesnt mean that a band wants to make a song better than the original. they made it in theire conception. this is an acoustic version and the song was covered LIVE. live cover versions are always inferiors like the studio versions. oh yeah, and the original version wasnt an acoustic one.

btw i dont like Pulp, i heard the original one of this song so i know what im talking about.

  • @nukiito I agree with you!

  • Hehe, if nothing else, Jarvis probably likes this cover.

  • This made me laugh. Goes a bit kinks in the middle. They must have been a bit tiddly.

Still have this over keane doing D2K.

  • sounds like a bunch of rednecks playing in a barn...

  • i have liked some of frank ferdinand stuff but i have to say this is quite dire and just did not sound like a pro band more like a few people down the pub doing some karaoke on a saturday night LOL. But saying that thanks for putting it here

  • Mate. It's a cover. And as cover's go it's quite good in a PULP-y eccentric way.

  • Ni punto de comparacion con la original, por favor

  • amo esa cancion

  • its a great cover, it wasnt meant to be perfect... that would be lame =)

  • Is everybody stupid? It's obvious that they are singing poorly on purpose, like friends who just met up.

  • Lol yes, my thoughts exactly XD

  • well, obviously : not everybody can pretend being jarvis cocker.

horrible version of mis-shapes.although i normally like franz ferdinand.

i have just watched keane's cover of "disco 2000" and.. well.. jarvis is definitely not replaceable.

  • I do love Franz Ferdinand, but this cover is really quite poor... it sounds like they've just put it together in about five minutes.

  • they probably did.

  • I think they put it together in exactly 3:35 ^^

  • Terrible cover :-)

  • I Agree! Jarvis is inimitable!!!!

  • I thought something else. Their singing is absolutely FLAT. I like cover of Disco 2000 by Kean for example, not this kind of shit. But I agree, Jarvis is the legend.

  • homer, barney, carl & lenny!

  • jajajaja... excellent joke!!! i can't stop laugh

  • !

    I luv pulp and ff!

  • Yeah, i love this cover :3

The second time of the "Mis-shapes, mistakes, misfits" who sing? I think that he's Paul, but... what do you think about? xD

  • it's nick ;)

  • this performance is so poor!!!!!

  • Jarvis is much better.......-.-'' xD grrr^^

  • O.= !!!!

    O.0 !!!

    ^_^ sisisisi!!!

  • I've never really listened to much Franz Ferdinand, but I love this cover ^^

  • lol i dont mind its their own style in the end lol =]

  • i prefer the original =[ even though im a huge franz fan... sorry boys

  • ^_^

  • It's kinda off, and it sounds like it was made at home, which ... just ... wins.

Having this song be kinda off actually fits with the lyrics XDDDD

  • You're right,now I stop to think about it

    Kinda boozed-up & lairy,belligerent feel

  • Until I read your comment,I wasn't liking it at all :-)

  • :) It's relaxed, so it gives it a kinda lazy feel, too <333

  • Ha ha you got me listening again ;-)

  • ;) XD
