i read some blog about a guy seeing a goshawk trying to eat a red-tail, goshawks are bad-ass they actually attack humans if they get too close to the nest whereas even a golden eagle would pussy-out and abandon their young.

in response to owning hawks and falcons, short answer, yes. The net is full of the regs, tests necessary for your State etc. I live in California, and it is very controlled, especially from other falconers. This is not pet keeping, but more of a symbiotic relationship, where hunting is the objective. People get confused, call it a blood-sport, and dont understand the connection between a human and a bird, the time necessary, and the most important part to me is the amazing flights.

Good capture at the beginning but the zooming back and forth was too much. The poor bird couldn't eat because it was afraid you might take it's prey. This looks like one of the juveniles. Her eyes are still very light. Did you notice what color the tail was?
