Do negative chaos emeralds cancel out normal chaos emeralds? Are there going to be imaginary and complex rings too? Or maybe half rings and quarter rings? Maybe a square box can be added: a box that squares the number of rings you got.

How about starting with 1 live, and you can get a 1up (100 rings) or a 1down (-100 negarings) if you collect a 1 down while having 1 life (or a 1up with -1 life) you will get 1 or -1 lives. when having more than one, it will just go down and if you have zero lives, you die. just like you did with super sonic/nega super sonic/hyper sonic, 0 rings makes you normal sonic. what do you think?

I've got a similar rom, but I don't recall it having the negative rings and negative special stages. When your rings are negative do you die when you're hit? Also what's the Nega Emeralds do? Also why did you use the Sonic CD version of the Spin Dash, it's much weaker than the Sonic 2 and later version. Anyways, nice work.
