  • ENDLICH labert der sprecher was wahres!! whansinnig toller reiter!

  • wundervolles Team die beiden.

    das sieht richtig toll aus.

  • Love the music :)

  • vielen dank hubertus schmidt

  • rollkur shortens and tightens the muscles in the lower neck and shoulder which in turns heightens the lift of the arm (foreleg) giving off the flashy movement anky's horses exhibit. it is something like the analusians with their thick, stout necks...except THAT is natural. everyone interested should read Theresa Sandin's physiological breakdown of rollkur on sustainabledressage . com . she proves her point with great photos and diagrams.

  • Does this man ride rollkur?

  • As far as I know, Hubertus does use roll kur. I am not sure how extreme the form he uses is, but it only forms a small part of the training of his horses.

  • Well his horse is very slightly on the forehand as well

  • She is. It is a shame that the are many horses that, through the use of roll kur in their training, are on the forehand, some are more noticable than others.

  • Yes - I agree

  • when he was in sweden, (clinic)it was him vs. anky. He said that he didn't use rollkur- anky said she does (no suprise :D)he had furst fabio (one day he will be one of the best horses)anky had krack C I think. I was there. I don't see why he would be lying about him using rollkur or not, You really need to stand up for how you ride, otherwise you shoulden't be ridding at all.

  • As I stated, it was only as far as I knew, which normally means I'm relying on information from other sources ( which is not always 100% reliable).

  • I don't blame you

  • No worries.

  • minga90ame - LOL. when i asked you if you had ever seen Anky ride, you said that you havent. And here you have said you have :P lol im confused :) :S

  • well I did't count that one cos I could only see them in the warm up area I didnt had the ticket to the show:S but sure if the warm up count then I have seen here for a couple of minutes :D It was pretty long ago. You could rerad about n in our newspaper after so It felt like I had seen the hole show.

  • Minga90ame - Oh ok then :) sounds good. I would love to watch Anky ride! i would probley drop my jaw and not take my eyes off her! :P and i would talk to her, on her DVD's, she seems like a really nice person :)

  • I would love to have her dvds. Im gonna wish for them at chritmas!hah lol

  • Minga90ame - lol yea i have 3 DVDs of her, and my other one is on its way in the post now :P

  • youre making me jealous!

  • HAHA!! lol! thats funny :P

  • This is the horse he rode at the world equestrian games... doesnt do much for me. But its great that he got this far so well done. Msmotty - why do you think you would give this horse 8's for passage and piaffe, her passage is cleary weak. Its not very strong at all and this horse could fit about 10 people on its back! I do actually like her though. and i think he is a very good rider :) has a very good canter, better than the trot.

  • I have seen worse ppassage and piaffes given a 9. I am looking at the willingness to do the movement, which this mare has plenty of. She doesn't lift much, but she is very correct in the movement, and so, I would score it with an 8. A horse that had the same amount of correctness but more lift would score a 9 or 10.

  • Okay, i understand where you are comming from

  • woohoo! thats my horses full sister!! yaaaay! LOL i think this mare IS expressive, just not in the same way as salinero, but still a very technically perfect horse and very correct. same goes 4 the rider! lol

  • what I love about Hubertus' horses is that, while not the most extravagant in the world, they are technically correct and so make it very hard not to give a good technical mark. Often around 7's for most of their work, but this mare desrves plenty of 8's for her passage and piaffe.

  • This is someone who truly understands what it is to ride.

  • Exactly my point!

  • Boring over all, the music and the movements..nää I don't like it at all, but each person can have their opinion so I don't need anyone telling me my opionion is wrong ;) horse peole on youtube have big problems understanding that.

  • the best horse of the world :P

  • In my humble opinion truly one of the best riders of the moment!

  • Compliments to Herr. Schmidt. That´s the way the horse should move! Elastic, relaxed, willing to work. That´s somethg you don´t see often any more, especially not at Anky!! No comparison at all.

  • Okej thats your opinion, but anky is the one whos winning the most, schmidt is not even close..how do yoy explain thaT?

  • 7 years ago I had a horse who, 3 years previously, according to many people in dressage, shouldn't even have had the temerity to be in any dressage class. He was apparantly built wrong and didn't move well. Within 3 years I completely changed hi whole way of going and those same people were talking about him as if he were brilliant. Unfortunately, I had to retire him due to problems in my personal life, But he made a mokery of anyone who thinks that you can't change a horses way of going.

  • of course you can change horses way of going, novice riding a horse for many years and not been taught to use his hindlegs and come off the forehand had happened to my cleveland bay, he rode like a motobike. i let a novice ride him for a while it's taken me neally 2 years just to get him bend in the neck and round his back. I did this using Rollkur which has strengthened his stomach, back and neck muscle his attitude to work has changed with confidence as well.

  • It was always a point of mine never to let a novice ride my horses. Unfortunately, my aforementioned personal problems, have meant that I no longer compete in dressage. I am hoping to get back into it at some point, but just a bit worried at what I have been missing out on while I have been away. Will take some time to recover my fitness, but will be applying myself to the new regime over the duration of the year. I hope that your horse continues to go well for you.

  • You can't make a horse to change it's gait thats impossible, the way the horse goes thats the way the horse goes. Salinero's pace probably looks artificial maybe because of his breeding? The end of the day we are all trying to improve performance and breed better horses in this world for dressage example.

  • I would prefer the energy of Bonfire to Salinero's seemingly artificial cadence. Wansuela Suerte has plenty of natural cadence, maybe she doesn't lift as much as other horses but that's where dressage is going wrong in my opinion. Too much emphasis on arrtificial cadence and bend and not enough on the natural paces of the horse.

  • i think anky will always be the best. a nice video but lacks alot of impulsion at times needs more energy! in piaffe's not up to scratch as anky is with bonfire and salinero. Yes blue hors matine is one of favourites but still isn't the quality of anky dances with bonfire or salinero.

  • Stunning peformance, a truly epuipage!

Way better than Anky! But my faves are still Andreas and Matiné! :)

  • anky will always be the best. nice kur from hubertus schmidt but lacks energy and impulsion in piaffe. Anky is a true rider impulsion and energy in all movements. don't critise on somebody you probably haven't met remeber she has one 2 olympic Gold medals 3 silver medals etc etc and 6 world cups.Blue hors matine is one of my best but still doesn't have the class as such as Anky with bonfir and salinero.

  • I think anky and salinero looks like robots. I dont really give a shit what they hav won, I just think that Andreas and Matiné has way more energy and joy. :)

  • obviously you don't know anything about dressage with a temper like that i am sure you wouldn't get round a dressage test with that attitude. That's why they got a silver medal and anky got gold for accuracy and pure emotion, experience was the key to success, yes i do think blue hors matine will win majure classes when she is able to use her back more in her transition ie canter to trot she struggles a little but in time she will learn to engage her hind quarters more.

  • Yeah sure, I woudnt get round a dressage test no way, thats why i HAVENT won 8 outta 12 tests ive competed in. ;)

Im not sayin that salinero isnt good, cuz its a great horse and his rider is very good. I dont think dressage is all about perfection, i think its about joy and true horsemanship.

  • nice
