  • How does it work?

  • @therobotFrom94 There's a Java program on my computer that reads MIDI files and sends the note information to an Arduino that's hooked up to the floppy drives. The drive heads are moved at the sent frequency and music results. The software is available in the doobly-doo if you're feeling adventurous.

  • @Sammy1Am ah right, If I had any floppy drives I'd try it

    thanks

  • @GodofChookie Heh, sorta. It was no piece of cake getting the software and rig up and running initially. Most of the effort now is spent trying to get the MIDI's arranged so they'll sound good on floppy drive (not many composers write for floppies, lol). Once that's all sorted out though, and I've got the microphones positioned and leveled, then yes: I just click start and record. =)

  • @GodofChookie

So basically you're just an asshole?

  • @Sammy1Am Arduino is really user friendly I love it :D

  • @therobotFrom94 magnets.
