  • thanks for great info :)

i just started making videos myself.

and ive learnt alot from watching your vids,

  • I've read a lot about breaking the 180 line but this was the first time Ive seen it done and it's so true it did throw me out of sync...thanks guys

  • lol was that in the script

  • Hehe, sorta :P

  • nice establishing shot for a films.

  • lol this made me laugh

  • YOU DUDES ROCK! LOVE YOUR WORK

    Very informative

  • hey can you explain how you cutted to a more close-up shot at 0:21 and yet it the guys seems like nothing has happened??

  • Cut on motion only if you want to cause disorientation. You can also cross with a moving camera without cutting and this wont disorient the audience!

  • awesome videos, so creaative

  • HEY!

i know where that park is!

i live like 5 minutes from there.

    :D

  • Hah, nice. Are you a film-maker? We work out of Buena Park :)

  • P.S. When is the next episode coming out? any clues of what its about?

  • I'm editing it right now. And Peter's editing our movie review of "W." though his internet is out. We're trying to decide whether to post the episode or the review first.

The episode's about "Performance over Continuity".

  • The background in the beginning of this video is not blown like the last one, its more clear. What did u do differently? Actually at 0:16- 0:18 its not blown out but at 1:44 its completely blown. Why?

  • In the shot at the beginning, we were under a partial shade, so there was more light on us, thus we could stop down the iris more. In the shot at 1:44 we're in complete shade so we had to open the iris a lot.

Maybe that would make a good episode - How NOT to Blow Out the Sky.

  • So I think Drew had a good idea... more of him. ;)

  • LOL

  • ?.....

  • RaChAl84 is my cousin. She likes Drew! XD

  • I actually love you guys. Your videos are awesome :-) I loved the intro to this one...

"Now that we've got rid of all of the impatient internet folk.." LOL. I love your style, nice and relaxed compared to many!

Interestingly, our lecturer told us about the 180 line this morning! Now this illustrates it perfectly :-)

    Thanks!

  • LOL*~Frame 5:21 was that real?

Great to see you guys back on season 2

  • Hehehe, maybe.

  • Is this what you mean by cutting motion? 0:21 watch?v=nKAraSljMKA

  • Heh, yep. Exactly what we mean :)

  • as always a world of help... thanx

  • wow. that episode was AMAZING. My favorite you guys have made so far. I love how you both explained the 180 degree rule and establishing shot, AND showed examples of them. Really helped me to understand it better and it kept me interested the whole way through. GREAT JOB!! (I can't believe that Sean actually "hit" Peter. Looked dangerous! haha.)

  • Hehe, thanks so much, man!

  • yay ur back!

  • Thanks so much guys! I'm about to start a short film with my friend and i needed some inspiration on establishing shots. Another great episode!

  • Im glad you guys are making helpful videos again. Great job. Thanks for all the help! :)

  • nice another good show . you guys are good keep going.

  • haha i liked this episode

  • Haha, I'll run everyone over with my car!

  • awesome awesome again, excellent display. i cant get over how well written ur shows are. great job guys

  • a bit difficult to follow + wheres the windjammer

  • Heh, we actually just bought a windscreen and dead cat a few days after shooting this episode. All proceeding episodes will have no wind!

  • nice episode, keep it up guys, I'm a little bit confused about that shot? lol:)

  • By the way what's up with the shades Sean, someone gave you a black eye. haha j/k

  • Hehe, it was just really sunny out. We don't usually shoot outdoors in daylight.

  • Drew dancing was random but totally Awesome! hahaha. I really like the Episode! You're "Season 2" is starting off very well :)

  • Yes , i want more Drew.
