How could a mother let go of her 8 month old baby? There are no words. Zahra let down by everyone who was supposed to parent her. Never had a real mother, or a real father. I refuse to believe that in ten years, her bio mother could not have contacted her. That is simply not credible. It is not my intent to bash Emily Dietrich, but come on folks. She simply did not care, until it was too late.

It has been announced that Zahra Baker has been declared dead. Chief Adkins announced it about an hour ago. DNA confirmed from evidence found a week ago, has been confirmed. It has been made a point that while Elisa may have been capable of homicide, she was not capable of digging a hole that deep to discard the remains.

We all figured this was coming, but still in my home, stomachs sank. Now it is a matter of criminal justice process. I would like to know, if Emily has had a chance to run across Adam. I am interested in seeing the reaction between the two. I would like Emily to at least have a chance to ask Adam 'why?'. I am not usually pro-death penalty, only in extreme cases, this is extreme enough for me.

This is just heartbreaking. This sweet little angel didn't stand a chance with those two evil people. People here in Canada are appalled by this. My heart goes out to Emily and her family. Thank goodness NC has the death penalty although that is too easy for them. They should be thrown in General Population at the prison and then let the inmates loose on them so they are beaten and tortured daily. Too the point that they are screaming they want to die and then beat them some more.
