Main Street Electrical Parade at Walt Disney World

Ugh, this makes me wish I had a working VCR to watch our old Disney World home movies from '89 - The Main Street Electrical Parade is the thing I always remember the most from those. The spinning turtle came right up to our camera, and that song is just so catchy!

I just uploaded the 2010 version in HD from Walt Disney World. Enjoy! I still like this one better, but the new one is still better than Spectromagic.

For those Spectromagic fans, I just uploaded a good HD video of the entire parade. But I can't possibly understand how anyone could like Spectromagic better than the MSEP. Watch both videos to compare. Spectromagic just doesn't feel like Disney to me. It just isn't "fun."  Watch the parade performers in both. They are so serious and theatrical in Spectromagic. And the music isn't even close.

@Ralph123x And I can't understand why anyone would think MSEP is better. I prefer Spectro more. To me it fits the definition of disney magic better.

@Ralph123x Spectromagic Parade was way better! The electrical parade is cool the first time but now the music is just obnoxious, the parade is shorter and it has less characters, plus the ending with the american flag is just cheesy, doesnt even have anything to do with disney.

@GoPlayMW2OrSomething No way was Spectromagic better than the MSEP at WDW that ran from 1977 to 1991 and again from 1999 to 2001 (the one in this video with the original music). Even the electrical parade currently at WDW is nowhere near as awesome as the one in this video. I miss this parade so much.

@Ralph123x Eh, I liked the spectromagic parade alot better, they had way more characters and it was twice as long as the electrical parade, and I liked the music better. Electrical parade music is great, but I dont really like it that much as I did the first time.

the floats are on there way to Floridaas I type this; although if you're drivong between CA & Florida unlike their last trek to Florida don't expect to physically see the floats on the trucks as they've been put in crates for this trip

Thank you so much for posting this! The Main Street Electrical Parade was always my favorite. I am almost 30 and so excited it is coming back to Disney World this summer and I have the opportunity to take my daughter. This was the perfect video to show her to get her as excited about the parade as I am!
