  • pullups like that you are suppose to move your head from side to side lol. ...pull up your head to right side of bar...down..then pull up with head to left side of bar

  • I think the slight advantaged you noticed is due to minor difference in what hand/arm you're used to using (for instance, if you use your right arm for carrying groceries or something, compared to the left). I have no scientific papers or anything to back this up, it's just something I've noticed with myself. My right arm tends to at least feel less sore/tired than my left after carrying things/doing pull ups or whatever it may be.

  • zuzana is one of the most annoying chick on youtube. she posts thumbnail pics of her ass and tits to lure ppl to her damn videos. damn phony.

  • ANY SUGGESTIONS?

    I have a lot of trouble with pull ups. I find that it requires a lot of bicep/back strength. The irony is that I have no trouble with rowing & sitting pull down exercises (both working the back/biceps) lifitng as much as I weigh! I don't understand why, if I can exercise my biceps/back like this, I should have so much trouble doing regular pull ups. I can barely do 5. some help?

  • Well, even thou you train the same muscle, If you want to be good at pullups, you have to do pullups. One way to build up pullups is that you do 1, rest, do 2, rest, do 3 and then start over. This way you don't burn yourself out, and still crank out a decent number off pullups with good technique. Alternate between closegrip and widegrip now and then. Do it maybe 3 times a week and try your max after a week or 2, and tell me if you got better =)

    Lat pulldowns and rows unfortunately aren't the same. The best you can do is sets of pullups, try something like 3 4 5 5 MAX. You'll get better.

  • I've recently been accepted to join the police force so i've been working out quite allot as well. Right now i'm doing 12 pull ups, 5 minute break, 12 again, 5 minute break etc. until i can do no more, usually after 30 minutes, the day after is a rest day since my muscles start to hurt. The question however is, what would you recommend combining this with ? I'm mainly interested in bigger arms. Thank you!

  • Just get a set of free weights/dumbbells. Do some standard curls and then tricep extensions by pointing your arm straight above your head and doing a curl motion with the arm only its upside down now. Those exercises alone will put nice size on just your arms.

  • those of u looking to increase your pull ups/ chin ups just need to start doing a few sets a day. you will rise steadily. i do 20 chin ups now from a dead hang. its all about building over time.

    and archfiend, your pullups should be cut in half for the challenge. its much much more difficult for females to do these.

  • whatever grip is decided on how you are left or right handed depends on which side is stronger...

    only difference is you actually see him doing the pull up..

  • I can do 11 good chin ups. 25 push ups right now comfortably.

    Commando pull ups are the easiest bro. Regular pull ups with your palm facing you are the hardest. I can do 7 good ones right now, they're not very easy.

    BTW, how far can you run?

    I can do 9492 chin ups and 891345 push ups. I'm not going to post a video of it though. Just trust me.

  • you cheated for your first pull up, you didnt start off the ground, instead you started with your feet on the ground( not trying to bash you, just pointing it out)

  • are you trying to win admiration by proving you have more upper body strength than a woman? why dont u up the stakes and have rewards and or humilating consequences. if she wins, you should have to recreate one of her exercise ball videos wearing a similiar 2 piece outfit.

  • I made this video no real expectation that she would have accepted the challenge. IO was more of a fan and i wanted to show her how many of an exercise I could do that she showed me.

    I will not be suprised for one second if she can do more than me. She is in phenomonal shape and I haven't been the least bit arrogant about this challenge.

    And yes the; "I must break you" line was a joke. We are both using referances from Rocky 4 to hype our challenge.

  • I enjoyed the Rocky referance. If she challenged me, I would be down in Paulies freezer beating my meat 3 hours a day.

    I like how alot of people are rushing the hell out of these pull ups and relying on sheer strength where as the way Zuzana and I do them requires a higher calibur or strength AND stamina. I can rush the hell out of these and get 17 easily.

  • Fitness nuts piss me off, especially ones that insist that if you don't do a particular exercise in a stupidly specific way then you won't benefit from it, aaaagggggh! Not that this vid suggested that, it just really bugs me, especially when every fitness regime you see is the exact opposite of each other! Makes me think that none of these fitness people actually have a clue what they are on about, and I'd be willing to bet that 90% of the time I am right, too.

  • To my knowledge, they originated in the Soviet army where the Russian Commandos used them for training. Makes sense to me. But I may have heard wrong.

  • I agree. I did 15 commandos one time ever last week and they killed me. They are without a doubt the most intense type of pullup Ive come accross.

    Might I add that I've been doing commandos for a few weeks and i've already increased my maximum reps by 3. By the end of the summer I will kill 20 with no sweat.

  • I saw it. He didn't do one commando pullup let alone 15. And then the typical coward he is just pulled the video once his own fans started pointing that out and laughing at him for the jtotal oke that he is.

    It's a shame. That video could have got some more nice publicity for my channel plus people could come by and see how to exercise properly here or on Zuzanas page.
