Keep your head up girl! I have the exact same thing and also take a probiotic and EVEN take Imodium with my daily, just in case i need it. It's because of videos like this that we can learn that we are normal people and it's learning how to live with IBS that is the key. And sharing our stories in hopes that we can help eachother out with living with this rotten syndrome.
I can relate to you so much. I have had IBS all my life. One thing that helps me is Magnesium Glycinate from Metagenics. It relaxes the spasms for me. It takes a few weeks to kick in, but take it consistently, it should help :D Now for my worst IBS attack. I lived in Japan for a year with my family and had made the mistake of having a Starbucks frappuccino and had an attack in the car, 45 minutes away from my house. There were no English speaking people or signs to say where a restroom was......
Go High Carb Raw Vegan!!! My friend had IBS and he went raw vegan, lots of bananas, dates and veggies. He no longer suffers. It will be no different with you.
are the things you see in the internet true like those who sells ebooks that claims to get rid of ibs and other gut issues? also things like rezvera? im desperate of finding a solution without going to spend a lot on doctors to no avail. :(
hey there. your totally not alone. im only 21 and my symptoms started a year ago. i myself think that i have ibs not celiac or intolerance to something because anything i eat can cause things like bloating, gas and BM issues when my gut is not in the "mood". there are times that my gut is ok but there are times like today, i just woke up and went to bathroom and my belly is on a wreck right now. i dont know what triggered it but i ate like rice and chicken last night and i even drank peppermint
A lot of people who think they have IBS may in fact not. Celiac Disease is often misdiagnosed as IBS. I myself was misdiagnosed with IBS for a little over 5 YEARS before I was properly diagnosed with Celiac. I feel better now that I'm gluten free. So it's a possibility. AND keep in mind that just because you may test negative once for Celiac doesn't mean you don't have it or some kind of gluten intolerance, you may need to get tested twice. So please consider this, talk to your Doctor.
Look on the bright side, anyone who would react negatively to you telling them doesn't deserve your attention anyway, so now you have an icebreaker that also weeds out all the losers in the world, so you don't waste your time finding out later how much of a jerk they are.
If you wanted to know. I don't think you are gross. My Girlfriend has IBS and i find nothing gross about it. You will find some one soon enough who likes you for who you are. if someone doesn't like you because you have something that is out your control then they are just being immature.
For me the best things have been the probiotic Bachillus Coagulans and Yoga...if you type in IBS and yoga in youtube theres a great excersize where you suck in your gut - for me its made my whole tummy seem so much stronger. Try this.
I just saw your video.....I understand everything you are going through.....I am going through the same thing. It is awful. If you ever need anyone to talk to about this let me know....
I've done a few IBS videos and I also run a large IBS community website called IBS-Life dot com - you may find some useful information there that will help you, so feel free to swing-by to take a look & say hi :o)
i can 100000000% relate to you. i have had IBS for 6 years * im 21* my family think im being "dramatic" but i live most days in pain. the cramp, the spasms, the fevers. having to run back and forth to be sick or go to the bathroom is totally exhausting and you cant sleep cause the pain is so bad. im sooo lucky to have an amazing boyfriend who does support me, but i feel awful that we have to cancel plans most of the time. im training to be a teacher just now, but i never know how my day will go.
@MissNixsyPixsyMUA it really does control everything i do. and most days i dont want to leave the house. when i do have flare ups they last few days - a week, the longest one being 3 weeks and i ended up in hospital. and after it it takes about a week to feel a bit normal again. it really is an awful life to live. i hope they find out what causes it and how to fix it soon!! xxx
@MissNixsyPixsyMUA keep your head up, it is a great thing to have someone to support you on that. I wish you the best in your career!! I wanted to be a teacher also! You can do it!
Thanks for posting this...i have ibs too and its so nice to hear from a normal person who i can relate to. I genuinly appreciate you for making this vid.
im 15 and i just got diagnosed with ibs . they thought i might have had chrones or colon canccer cause my dairarrea is so bad. i get sick at least 7 times a day its ruined my life. i totally understand where ur coming from
mine ibs constantly switches between hard and liquid stools..:( causing me to have lots of pain in the rectum and anal area... not to mention the stomache cramps
I have been able to travel despite having mild symptoms, last year i had to frequent the womens bathrooms in downtown Paris the mens didn't have toilet seats, talk about embarrassing. lol
my ibs has cuased me to loose friends and girlfriends cuz i dont go out and do things. only time i do is if my band has a show or i wanna see a new movie or something
I'm 20 years old and a male and live in texas and i have ibs too, I have all the symptoms you have and I've managed too make it through my second year of college by Unfortunately having to suck it up. I want to be a teacher as well, And i fear my dream will not happen because of the fact that i will have to leave the class room as well ... I used to be outgoing and was the most social person ever but i got this when i was 17, lifes been hell ever since. I question if i can if i live like this :(
@aopfakeout1 I question it, too. But there are things we can do a little. I try praying but I can't find the nerve to pray for myself, so I ask others to. I also try to live close to city areas so I can leave the house more often and things will be closer together. I want to get a job that I work from home, but it's hard to find one. My boyfriend is very supportive. The more support you have, the more comfortable you are around those people. It helps alot. Do you have facebook?
I have had ibs and celiac disease for a few years.. its a constant battle, I'm on a special diet of gluten free food for my celiac and I'm still always sick with ibs.. I feel for you if you look at my vids youll see I'm a guitar player of 2 bandsvand its hard to travel to towns and play shows in constant stomach issues and pain you should message me if you would like
This video really made me feel better - it's nice to have someone who can relate to me :). I want to post one - so you can have someone to relate to too :).
ibsgroup.org is a good place to meet people with IBS. I have suffered from IBS C since I was little and for me basically I get hard stools I can not pass or the feeling you get when you have to go I do not get it, it took 15 years and me being hospitalized and almost doing serious damage to myself for someone to finally give me a name for what I had and put me on something that helped. Threw the years I was sent to loads of doctors and put on all these meds which some cost an arm and a leg.
I know exactly how you feel,i have suffered this for 9 years and its not a nice thing to have. My family and friends try to understand but i know they get annoyed when i have to cancel dinner plans etc. I can't go ANYWHERE unless i know where the nearest bathroom is,it completely takes over your life. Like you said in one of your previous comments, its mostly in the mind but its so hard not to think about it.
Feel free to add me and message me anytime,i know what you are going through.
@mhari1980 awwww, I am so sorry to hear that someone else has to deal with it also. Jeez, people will never understand what it's like if they don' thave it.
