They are such beautiful animals. It gives me comfort knowing that the cats are so at ease in the sanctuary that they can sleep belly up. That's a huge sign of trust for a cat of any size. Hopefully folks can see their way to a donation for Christmas for these wonderful felines.

They're all perfect! :D Or purrrfect, as you guys said. We found two sibling kittens without their mother in a dangerous environment, surrounded by litter, piping, and mud, under the school that my dad teaches at. Now those two are Hikaru(boy, orange tabby) and Mika(girl, calico, runt), precious members of our family! They're so cute and they're always together. I find them curled up together every night. Though poor Mika always gets smotheredby her dumb big brother. :) I love my kittens. :3

Wanting to save handsome animals is easy. Saving people is harder. Probably 99 in 100 would do something for lions, but only 9 out of 100 would do something for humans. In order to devote fully to animals, you also have to be very neglectful toward suffering humans, because there isn't room for both. Just look at neo nazis that want to bomb half the world, but love their german shepherds, and do 'anything' for them.

@wendighoul Haha. I wasn't saying that what humans are doing is good or evil. The people saving these animals are very good people but we as humans can't help being an incredibly invasive species. I was simply stating that many of the big cat species are becoming extinct do to the fact that humans are, in fact, invasive, and we have developed ways to defy the earths carrying capacity which has made these animals' habitats shrink. I was not focusing on the evil and excluding the good.

My cat has a choice between my dog's pillow, which she sometimes steals, and a heated cat bed. She usually takes a styrofoam box she claimed as hers years ago during one Christmas season. Had I known that, I wouldn't have bothered with the heated bed!

I think that the way these cats sleep really confirms how not-wild they are. You will never see cats sleep like that in the jungles or in other wildernesses.
