the difference is, their boards weren't concaved at the nose, so they could bring the board FORWARD, but not UP. does that make sense? use that concaved nose to your advantage. up and forward.
i now know why the board goes sorta behind you...like the guy said below me...you have to keep your body straight. and u have to really bend your ankle.
alright this all that you need to work on is getting more height and to do that: practice jumping up and down without the bored and tucking your knees into your chest when you jump. It will help you get the feel for more height and how to move your legs for the best height, also after you do that for a bit just practice jumping up and down on your board. probably on grass is the best :P
