My dad and I and all of my friends in the troop never saw a thing. And if you did "hear" anything it could be someone messing around, like a gun or cannon. They have shows and stuff all hours.

Come on!! We are talking abt sustaining REAL AWFUL injuries under REAL BATTLEFIELD conditions, not PC war games "fought" in air-conditioned comfort.
If you have seen "Saving Private Ryan" movie, especially that Omaha beach assault scene, u can sense that horrible sense of deja vou!!
