What the hell took GM until 2008 to build a decent car. This new Malibu is a nice car and GM should have used a new name because people equate Malibu's with disposable junk, which they were.

The only problem will be trying to convince Accord, and Camry owners that GM built a good car.

I've worked on American cars all my life. And they are good at decieving people like u at first, but then you will regret it. They built a new chevy malibu so they can compete w/the foriegn market.From 2000, Chevy have changed Malibu 3 times. 1960's American cars were better build than today's one from cheap recycling plastic products! Please dont get me start it with Ford. They just photo copy of everyone els' designs.

They did a great job on an affordable sedan. When you see it in person, you have to give it credit for pointing in the right direction. There will be alot of them on the road for sure.Toyota,Honda,Nissan etc need to bring there prices down to a more realistic level anyway. 30,000 for those cars is absurd. Alot of there targeted audience make just about 30,000 a year. Good job Chevy and I'm not even a fan.

Malibu, Lumina, Impala, they all cheap and have intake, leakage problem. American don't make quality cars. They want you buy their cars only for parts. Good job with Toyota, Acura,BMW, Mercedes. They last forever. Its values last for at least 10 year or more.

My first car was a new 1989 Honda Accord. I put over 200,000 very hard driven miles on that car and it never broke down once. Where ever that car is today I sure it's still more reliable than your 01 Malibu.
