  • Nothing is flying!!!

  • doesn't really look that bad

  • It looks like you are just too scared to be out on the road you pussy. Fools like you should stay home and stop being a hazard because you can't drive.

  • ye haw!

  • @hojo1031 respect bro :)

  • I drive to and if he has to stop he's fucked and whoever is in front of him or on the side might get smashed!Period!

  • but after all this is america where the bleeding heart liberals and hippie douchebags scream and complain that its not safe and its not fair. so as far as im concerned, everyone was doing something wrong. everybody sucks but me, everyones an asshole driver except me, im awesome you all are horrible people and ur lucky that my God lets you live. dont mess with me and my safety or ill burn this mother fucker down to prove my bullshit point.

  • number one, hes not going that fast, number two, that road has a ton of traction left on it, theres barely any snow on it, number 3 hes probably loaded and couldnt spin his drive axles if he tried.

  • @hojo1031 wash your ass truckers, you dope shitheads stink!

  • @Runkleforskin aint it the truth ! Some of the meth drivers literally shit their pants on purpose while driving because they dont want to lose any time. Such pigs !

  • truck is passing vehicles at a high rate of speed, too fast for any condition, snowing or dry. Bad Driver with a camera phone and a Bad Driver with a trailer do not mix. All you needed to do was drift into the left lane and he couldn't have stopped in time, even on dry roads.

  • Oh and another thing , its not really snowing that bad !!

  • Nothing wrong with the truck going , maybe you should pay attention to your driving and not your camera, Truckers are the safest drivers in the US .

  • @hojo1031 You must drive for Swift, Warner or England, they are the worst drivers on the road. I live in Wyoming and when it snows rest assured one of those three will be on their side causeing the highway to be closed. This happens everyday out here. The video is a prime example of a STUPID truck driver.

  • you should worry about your own driving and not every body elses if your that scared maybe you should taken the next exit and got a motel room so your not out on the road getting into everybody elses way ........

  • @hojo1031 well said

  • The drivers are WORKING idiot! GTF out of the way!

  • How slow were you driving? Cuz I would probably be passing you, also.

  • supertrucker

  • he was not driving bad, you were just driving like my grandma

  • Dumbass 4-wheelers...Their opinions about things they know nothing about are just irritating.

Ok Dumbass, the trucker that went by you was operating in a very different environment than you. If he was running heavy he had few traction/braking issues and was doing fine. With a empty or lightly loaded trailer, his traction/braking capability becomes more of a issue. If he had no trailer (bobtail), he would have extreme traction/braking issues and would have been going slower than you. GROW UP!!!!

  • Car drivers don't understand Truck drivers. There is a total different world. Total different highway language, communication, respect, understanding. Most cars dont understand that trucks go faster in a down hill and slower in up hill. They dont get it that when we pass another truck we are not blocking them behind, we just cant go any faster. Thats why i think its a must to get a CDL knowledge test in order to get a DL. Car drivers feel that trucks want to mess with them. NOT the case at all.

  • the truck driver should be put down

  • @sonnylatchstring and why is that do you do 25 when there is a little bit of snow truck drivers are highly trained drivers also 80thousand lbs gives you quite a bit of traction plus like many others mention its wet out meaning the roads are not frozen less slippery the if there was no spray thats when you should slow down honestly do some research or perhaps if you think you are a better driver get in a truck and try drivin maybe then you would understand how stupid your comment is i have been

  • @sonnylatchstring i have been driving for a little over a year and my dad has been driving a little over 30 years and 15 of those 30 i spent every summer and christmas break i could with him now i drive my own truck

and am proud rember if you bought it a truck brought it so try saying thank you to a truck driver when you see

  • @sonnylatchstring him instead of flipping him off cuz he couldnt see you in his blind spot or if he is going faster then you in snow storm and scares you say wow hes dedicated to getting the stuff im prolly going to buy tomorrow to ware its going ,......

  • Shows how much you know about winter driving, for ONE the snow was barly sticking to the road,TWO,it's a wet snow THREE, it didn't look like he was flying you pussy 4 wheelers don't know how to drive in the rain let enough the snow.

I've been driving for 20 yrs. now NOT once did i come close to going in the ditch and i live in the upper midwest where winters are a bitch..

  • Video Looks about right, That's what i would be doing..

  • Speed is not the problem, stoping is.

  • Your more of a hzard with your camra out in that shit. I've seen our "4-wheel" friends text on the phone in shit worse than that! How are we unsafe? Oh, were dumbass truck drivers. Lets see you drive one with no training whatsoever. Then we will see who has to be stupid to drive it. Now put the camra and phone away, before you kill somebody.

  • a loaded semi is a tank in the snow.

  • my question and statement are as follows....how fast were you driving, and now my statement, if its snowing like crazy, you shouldnt be filming and control a 2.4 ton vechicle. The rigs have more weight , therefore can have better traction on the roadway than a 4 wheeler. The road conditions looked wet seeing that i saw spray come off his tires. He or she in the truck can see further down the road than a 4 wheeler can. But i can assure you the trucker didnt tape a video on slow cars either..

  • I like snow

  • Nothing wrong with the speed of the truck. Not going too fast at all.

  • Trucks do take longer to stop, but seeing as we are obviously outnumbered by car drivers, there are going to be more car crashes out of carelessness. There are bad truck drivers with millions of miles, and bad car drivers the same. Carelessness in any situation from either, when distance becomes a factor, is ignorant of both. Car drivers need to be as observent as SAFE truckers. Miles are irrelavent.

  • Irreguardless of the prior conversation, and well made points from both were stated. Do I think he was going to fast? No not really. Visibility is better in a rig than in a car. However, let me point out that your basing your facts on overall gross weight, not the actual load. In this instance I would hope he/she is loaded but even then, great points were made in both defenses. Miles does not equal safety btw.

  • @hojo1031 WOW - you mean that driving 2 million miles is the same as a college degree? So - is 1/2 million miles like a high school diploma then? - STUPID theory I think.

You seem unable to provide educated logical responces to simple facts.

The schedules that you "have to keep" are as much due to your desire to earn more money (nothing wrong with that) as they are to do with company pressure to move more freight faster. It's because truckers are prepared to allow deadlines that risks r taken.

  • @hojo1031 This is just the typical stupid reply I'd expect from someone who has no idea about the laws of physics, mass and momentum. FACT stopping distance for an 80,000lb truck is at least 110ft longer than for a car when either vehicle is travelling 55mph....IN THE DRY. That means at 55mph it would take the truck at least 275ft to stop + reaction time. Going 10 mph faster would add an extra 190ft to overall stopping distance (525ft) compared to a cars distance of 245ft @ same speed.in the DRY

  • @hojo1031 Jut be grateful that we actually have money to buy everything you move in your 10 hour driving day. Just tell me honestly if you think that this truck driver was driving responcibly in the conditions?

HINT - if you think his driving was safe then you do need to be coached on driving.

  • Just on other truck driver with experience. How has more experience someone how drive 10 mile all day from home to work and back or how drive 650 mile a day.KEEP ON TRUCKING!!!!!

  • @hunzolee When you say 'how' I guess you mean "who"? It may sem strange to you but there are a lot of 4 car drivers that drive thousands of miles a year too - we are not all 10 mile a day commuters. Now - I certainly have respect for truckers - well at least those that drive within the limits of road conditions for whatever vehicle is being driven BUT whether a car or 18 wheeler going too fast to be able to stop SAFELY in the visible distance is reckless and dangerous.

  • THAT is not snow. thats dust. we get that in like august in ny. dang.

  • he's probably only doing 55mph

  • Yeah! this is how its done,4 wheelers stay the hell to the right.

  • Am i the only one who can point out that the person taking the video is following way to close for even good road conditions?

  • I've gone faster through more snow in a 2WD yota pickup. You've barely got flurries. That trucker just doesn't lack any balls.

  • A person who is recording a video while driving is complaining about someone else driving too fast.

    Thank you internet.

  • @Brainboxen not just a person...a trucker...you can see from the wipers at the beggining of the video..hahaha..

  • See the tracks he's leaving in the snow on the road ? He is doing his civic duty creating a Path for you to follow. Its WET SNOW Not Ice. Is it the truckers fault that YOU feel un-comfy driving on wet snow? No. Its Your head doing the thinking, and having the problem dealing with the snow. Grow T-F- UP

  • he must have new snow tires on hahah

  • Common WW scenes at winter.

  • the truck driver name is :Chuck Norris!!!

  • The roads weren't even bad, I'd be blowin' your doors off too man. When you have a load of 25,000 or more, you are good to go.... hammer down!

  • he's also got 80,000 lbs helping hold him down. your prius may get better fuel mileage, but it ain't worth a dam in the snow.

  • dont get all crazy about telling us how to do our jobs and you drive your car we will handle the easy stuff go home if its too bad

  • 11 seconds of my life just past watching that pish.

  • title should be, "watch me drive slow on the highway"

  • @l337pwnage

Pwn3d. That wasn't too much of a snowstorm.

  • Rain, sleet, or snow the cows still gotta go

  • watch this driver filming while driving

  • you're lucky it wasnt a bull hauler.. dont get me wrong he would have slowed down... to about 75-80, but you would have been spinning from just the backdraft off of it

  • its highway so wtf? better watch "kierowca TIR-a pirat"

  • He has more surface area in contact with the road. You guys are smart!

  • lol i thought this meant an actual trucker "flying"

  • It's all about traction, thought this guy's flying bit too fast. That's why trucks jack-knife when they have slow down quickly, then the DOT gets involved. But take the account for cars and inability of public to drive them compounds the danger and maybe that's why we shouldn't drive as a convoy. Don't be scared, just respect the highway.

  • His wheels touch the asfalt, he's not going to slip. Even if the snow was 5 inches higher, he would be able to keep his speed. Don't forget trucks need speed to have more grip in the snow. Sounds weird, but it's a fact.

  • @dhcars That's true!

  • Looks to me like a little bit of wet and slushy snow. That's no problem for experienced drivers. I'm live in Alaska and have NEVER had an accident.

  • @fubecabr

There's always a person that brags about the shitty weather condition area they live in and how "skilled" they are at driving in it, everyone thinks they're a better driver than the rest, it's hilarious.

  • Loaded trucks have a lot better traction than your little fourwheeler. Adding to that my guess is he has a little more experience driving in these conditions than you, so have some respect. He knows when to slow down and from what I see this wasn't it. Just get out of the way or don't drive if its too much for ya, because you are the hazard, not him.

  • Time is Money !! Get the fuck outta the way!!

  • AWWWWWWWWWWWWW....You "New Breed" driving school boys just don't have enough years to have it together yet,do you????...This isn't bad...Look at his tracks on the pavement..Must be loaded or he wouldn't be going that fast. (unless he went to driving school and graduated knowing everything)...Plus,what is the temp???...The colder it gets, the better your traction..

  • i rmb when it started snowing REALLY hard in the middle of the highway when we was going down to the states EVERYONE slowed the fuk down to like 10-20mph... and some cocky 4wds would just smoke everyone

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZzzzzz

  • ????

  • 40000 lb load will stay on the road a lot lnger than your 4 wheeler will. Pull ovr n let the pros through!

  • It's nopt as bad as it looks. The truck was fine.Heck it doesn't even look that bad.

  • hammer down bitches, if ya scared get in my pocket..............

  • I can't believe its not butter

  • crazy mother trucker

  • and well, trucks got the worst tires of every car on the street = )

  • that guy is a accident waiting to happen, hope the dumb ass only takes himself out when he goes flying off the road

  • Them roads don't look that bad at all.... as stated by all the other drivers, I would have been doing the same thing.

  • The Semi has 4 times the traction and 10 times the wieght you do. His tires are "Hot" (you can tell by his tracks at :08) yours are cold. He's been on the road who-knows how many hours and you're what, 30-40 mins from home? Not mention his 80K miles per year (+/-) compared to your 20K. Experience!

  • @NedPeppers

    That's a damn good point.

  • He was safe, I don't see a problem. Little snow on the ground, and the hammer lane was open. These trucks handle better than a 4 wheeler in the snow. I would remove this video if I were you.

  • if youre driving a four wheeler,,please stop posting vids on truck drivers until youve drove a few thousand miles in a truck in all weather conditions...then you can post vids. We drive thousands of miles a week,in any weather, everywhere and with lots of traffic. while you drive maybe a cpl hundred a week if that. so please research your "story" first..dont be like the news media and only post half of it...what was your speed at the time of this incident? you failed to post that.

  • @Metal4Life572 please tell me why a truck always want to pass another truck and the speed difference is like 5 mph so everybody behind that passing truck are stuck for 5 minutes?

  • @DocentUSA for the same reason a car passes a slower vehicle, theyre goin faster even if it is 5mph..they dont want to stay behind a slower movin vehicle anymore then you do..and just so ya know,if the other vehicle is going 5mph faster then the one being passed, its not goin to take no 5 minutes..it may seem like it though. some company trucks are cut off at a certain speed,ie 70mph,,and some company trucks are cut off at say 72mph,so the 72mph is eventually goin to have to pass the 70mph truck.

  • @Metal4Life572 cars pass much faster than trucks.

    what does 2 mph take?

why can't you just stay in the right lane and stop bullshiting passenger cars?

  • @DocentUSA if you need that question explained to you, maybe you shouldnt be drivin period,no need to respond because im done responding back to you,im obviously wasting my time tryin to explain to you, that truckers has a job to do,a place to get too and regardless of weather we move freight,if cars are driving slower then we have to pass, esp because some people like to play cat/mouse with trucks,by speeding up on downhills and slowing down goin up makin us loose momentum.drive safe!

  • @Metal4Life572 get to your destination 5 minutes later, those yogurts you are carrying are not going to expire :-)

I hate those motherfuckers who apply brakes when going downhill and then speed up going uphill. I don't care about them but first of all they're wasting my gas and I loose momentum as you have mentioned.

Drive safe and be kind on the road.

  • @DocentUSA ok,this is my last response,no the yogurts probably wont expire for bein 5mins late, but as you may or may not know we have schedules to keep, some shippers/receivers do not like it if your late and will make you wait alot longer to get loaded/unloaded i used to work for a company and for several months i was 100% on time for deliver/pickup but i was still made to wait..one time i had to wait 24hrs to get loaded, the person who posted this vid didnt say his speed.he could be doin 25mph

  • @Metal4Life572 this is still not an excuse for being a selfish bastard and screwing up people's cruise control.

  • @Metal4Life572 Why are they going to have to pass another truck going 70mph? Oh wait....it's because THEY ARE SPEEDING.....yeah yeah yeah we all know that speeding is common -in cars and trucks BUT a 4000lb car doing 75mph can stop in a lot less time than a 40,000lb truck - and if it doesn't stop in time it causes less than 1/10th damage of the truck.

Probably 95% of truckers are good, safe drivers (greater % than car drivers) but the reckless ones can cause real problems.

  • @tomburley yes. in some states if the speed limit is 70mph they would be speeding..in some states the speed limit is 75mph so there they wouldnt be..my point here about this vid,is the person who posted this video doesnt tell us how slow/fast he/she is goin..so it seems that the truck is "flyin" pass them..yes 95% of truck drivers are safe,,but 95% of people drivin cars are ignorant about trucks, most accidents involving trucks are caused by the person drivin a car.

  • @Metal4Life572 Yeah - but in MOST States the truck speed limit is 65mph...and they still go charging along at 70mph+. You say that most truck accidents are caused by cars - maybe it's because the bloody truck was unable to stop in time due to its speed. @ 65mph it takes an 80,000lb truck more than twice as long to stop as a car @ 65mph....and that's in the dry. So don't try to blame truck accidents on cars when the trucks are driving too fast or too close.

  • @tomburley , theres a few states that are still 65,but theres alot more that are 70-75mph EVEN for Trucks, ive had cars cut me off at the last minute because they were in the far right lane and needed the exit that was beside me..almost caused an accident ive had cars fly by me,get in front then slam on their brakes its ignorant people like this that causes accidents involvin trucks,NO Trucks CANNOT stop as fast as cars,,so if people would stop doin stupid shit like that thered be fewer accidents

  • @Metal4Life572 Actually there are only 9 States with 75mph limit for trucks. 13 States have a 70 mph limit and 19 States have 65mph limit - 6 States still have 55mph truck limit.

The fact that there are more than enough thoughtless car drivers doesn't excuse turckers though. I drive approx 50K miles a year through multiple States - and also in Europe. I hold a UK Advanced driver certificate as well as full US license. Bad driving is bad driving - just the results are always worse with trucks.

  • @tomburley regardless of whos drivin what, carelessness and eing ignorant is no excuse for accidents and yes accidents involving trucks the outcome is grim ive seen it,all im an ex otr driver and firefighter ive seen the outcome of these accidents, but like i said most were the cars fault in this vid theres no evidence that the truck is flyin pass this car,we dont know how fast /slow the car was goin nor the speedlimit im sayin that idiots who posts vids like these should state all the facts 1st.

  • @tomburley regardless of whos drivin what, carelessness and being ignorant is no excuse for accidents and yes accidents involving trucks the outcome is grim ive seen it,all im an ex otr driver and firefighter ive seen the outcome of these accidents, but like i said most were the cars fault in this vid theres no evidence that the truck is flyin pass this car,we dont know how fast /slow the car was goin nor the speedlimit im sayin that idiots who posts vids like these should state all the facts 1st.

  • @Metal4Life572 I'm not defending the car driver or his lack of info provided. You can clearly see the car passes one 10th mile post at 1 second and the next at 8 seconds - that makes his speed approx 51mph.

The truck is going about 60mph as it passes - in bad (not severe) weather but there is less than 500ft forward visability so he would not be able to stop within visual sight distance = UNSAFE driving for conditions in this specific case. (btw I also am aware of car based bad driving videos)

  • @Metal4Life572 Oh yeah - sure. So driving thousands of miles in a truck each year suddenly means your truck can stop in a shorter distance than a car doing 10-15 mph slower in the snow?? Or that your eyesight enables you to see through mist, rain or snow further than other peoples visual range?

A truck @ 50mph takes longer to stop than a car at same speed. It also has at least 10 x the destructive force when it hits the vehicle ahead - probably killing/crushing or severely injuring others

  • @Metal4Life572 Grow up, he is going way to fast. You must be a concrete cowboy like him. Stop getting your information from the idiots on the cb.

  • Life is good in the Hammer Lane!

  • I hate when some idiots do that shit.

  • LOL!! is that a bad weather in your country?? Please, come to Finland some winter... =)

  • heck i would of done.... correction.... have done the same thing in worse conditions than that.

  • Grow a pair... If you aint Speedin, your impeedin!

  • truckers dont only go 45 or 35 mph truckers are normaly faster

  • the road is in better shape in the hammerlane anyhow those ruts ur in will turn to ice while he is driving in loose powder more traction on snow than ice

  • Ice Road Truckers

  • Its snowing like crazy and I cant drive to begin with... Lets film it while Im driving!

  • @RedSnowProduction101

    haha exactly! Well put!

  • He's gotta take a shit.

  • the poster of this video must be from florida. this isn't "snowing like crazy" visibilty is good, just a little flurry. & that truck looks to be doing the speed limit. maybe you should stay home if your terrified of mild winter weather.

  • Thats a driver that knows his truck wit years upon years of driving under his belt. Jus stay outta his way.....he got places to be in a small amount of time.

  • @6V92TA

Yep years of driving will stop your truck faster when the person in front of you spins out!

  • @tainterlakeisgreen if he's one of those drivers that knows how to read traffic and the road, fuck yea he'll stop faster than your average trucker. Its called stab braking.

  • Actually this driver must be Canadian because he knows better to use the lane with the least amount of traffic. That being the left lane. Better traction there than the right lane where this idiot is filming from. Heat coming from the tires to the snow makes it slippery.

  • When I was over the road it was cool. I picked up a load of cell phones from Louisville, Kentucky on outer loop road and headed to Texas so I can begin heading home for time off. Mean while my mom had ordered a cell phone and was in transition. The cool thing was when I got to texas I went home to new mexico the next day and her phone arrived shortly after maybe a day or two, We looked at shipping and it matched my bill of lading. Ever have that any OTR drivers?

  • is that flying? ?boo!!

  • east bound and down

  • he passt u up

  • This is crazy snow? This is just a little bit of bad weather.

  • Comment removed

  • when you are loaded with a truck like that, is it easy to drive that speed.

  • BTW, If the weather is so shitty why the fuck are you video taping it while driving?

  • You call that bad weather? To a seasoned trucker thats a balmy 19 degrees... hell tropical if you will.

  • Looks like hwy 2 Between Edmonton and Calgary.

  • as long as one of you cars dont jump out in front of him like you tend to do with no turn signal he will be fine. i have been driving in the snow and in the mountains all of my career 22 years worth and driving in the snow is only as hard as you make it one thing car drivers need to learn is your brake pedal is your worst enemy in ice and snow so dont judge this guy when you dont have a clue yourself,

  • he is 80000 lbs and is doing his job, witout him u wont have food clothes car gas even that fucking cellphone ur filming with . he has a family and still he,s out in this shit makeing sure u get ur new Iphone . so shut the fuck up and show some respect

  • @BOZKESH lol???????????? HOW DO YOU KNOW HES NOT DELIVERING COKE for the local mafia..

  • you need to realise that he can see more than you he doesn't have road spray in in view for instance, take a ride in a truck and you will see!!

  • i was driving 65 in weather a lil bit worse then this and a few truckers passed they had to be doing 75 80 and they can do it if there experinced enough and if you know what ur doing its the best time cause cops wont be able to do 70 mph or 65 with a little car on road like that

  • I just park when it get's like this. So much easier. I shut down so many times this winter I felt like a real pussy until the load after I shut down was to go get one of our other truck's load cause he jackknifed in the same storm.

  • Whats the big deal... this is normal driving here in buffalo durring the winter.

  • @warlock451 Amherst here. I always say that too, I can't stand it when people go 20 mph up on the 290 because it just started to snow a bit... People, we've lived with this our whole lives, if you must go that slow, do it in the god damned right lane, not all across the highway.

  • pooooooooooo insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!show much speed with over 40T????????ßhahahahahaha

  • i drive tractor trailer hauling gas and the roads arent that bad if you look hes leaving a clear spot where his tires are touching pavement i would prob be going the speed limit at least the problem with bad weather and roads is ppl like u that are scared to death of wrecking need to get off them

  • Livin' on reds, vitamin c and cocaine..

  • I drive like that too. Stay out of my way!

  • i have pulled 30,000 kg's in snow like that you can go faster then others but the only thing is trying to stop it's alot harder if you can stop that is

  • I had a Driver pass me like that in Nebraska once and about 10 miles later he was in the center median head on into a overpass "dead" he thought he had 'no skid" tires too... slow down idiots..

  • @hotrodcr1 nah, i killed them

  • lol PWNED!.. xD So crazy driver. But fun xD

  • we Canadians just know how to drive, hahahahaha

  • lol fine get killed then

  • Hes got 6 more brakes and about 39 more tons on you,he can drive a little faster than you if he wants.

  • @hippaugh It doesn't matter how many brakes you have, 40 tons isn't easy to bring to a stop.

  • well don't drive 10 mph on freeway,lol!

  • Shit he has places to go and things to get done. Weather can't stop him. Ha.

  • @cumminsdiesel1234567 a big 10-4 on that

  • your just going to slow

  • Oh, and sometimes the snow is not slippery. Trust me, I live in New York and it is currently winter.

  • if he was doing the speed limit who cares! its his right to obey the posted speed limit.

just stay in the right lane and stfu!

  • Just because he is driving the speed limit does not mean he is driving safely or even obeying the law. There is such a thing as excessive speed for consitions. THIS is how jacknifed semi's happen and is JUST happened on IS70 in Ohio...the result...the semi hit a bus and killed 4. Nuf said!

  • nuf said about what? an accident? SHIT HAPPENS some drivers cant handle the snow

and for those who cant, like I've said before stay in the right lane and STFU

  • BTW what does "consitions" mean

  • @kuszman nuff ? ..You and your 4 wheeler Weigh 4200lbs we weigh 80.00 lbs look at the truck as it passes you should notice because of his weight he is not riding on top of the snow like you he is on wet pavement because his weight forces the snow out of the road way . before you state things as facts consider the facts thank you . If you want to respond please do I would like to help you understand these things ....we both could help the roads be safer.

  • You're all wasting your breath. He posted the vid, hoping for agreement of his (mis-informed) opinion, not the truth.

  • lol nice try but i don't think so

  • I take this to mean that you don't want to make the road safer Hitch hiker

  • really GAY!

    <
