@BabyWetsAllNight True, but they were more associated with Guns in 91, 92 & 93. Many interviews back then Shannon used to get pissed due to the reporters always wanting to hear about his time with guns, or his "6th Member Status"
Best band ever. And I like that unlike many other bands, especially hard rock bands, everyone have kept their own name, and arent using some artist names. In Gnr everyone goes under an artist name, except for steven adler and later members.
@BabyWetsAllNight - I respect your position, but that is very very old news. When Blind Melon broke on to the scene, there were all kinds of reporters that considered Shannon the 5th member, but he Didn't like that. He appreciated everything Axl did for him, but that was put to rest lets say in early late 1993 early 1994. No more affiliation or comparisons, respectfully CaptainHighTop
@CaptainHighTop Yeah I agree, hence that bad interview shannon had with that french dude. The only similarities Guns and Melon shared were their management and record companies. Yes Axl did help bring Shannon to the scene, but after that, the closest they ever got to each other was playing a tour together. Yeah Shannon really didn't like all the GnR buzz around his band
@KRHSlax29 - Oh yah, he was getting ticked off a lot. Reporters always wanting to talk about Guns, especially the French Canadian Media. As Shannon said, there is much more to talk about. Thanks for your comments bro.. Peace & RIP Richard Shannon Hoon.
@JeanPierrePapin86 - cool bud, you would have just been ayoung gaffer tha it if your handle indicates you were born in 1986.. either way congrats... I as well saw Melon Many Times... Shannon was a great guy!!!
@THEMETALHEAD6581 - I miss him severely too. What a tragedy. He was the best of the best. Thanks for watching bud.
As far as I am concerned there is no Blind Melon or never will be without Shannon. Although I like a few tracks with Travis, I think it was a bad idea. Obviously the band is going through some Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and have not fully realized that he can't ever be replaced.

Like John Bonham & Zeppelin example.
RIP Richard Shannon Hoon & Blind Melon.
