Stop flaming this game!!! For God's sake, it is a remake. As in,if you don't like it go play the original. I am new to the Persona series,this is a great game in my opinion. Just enjoy the music. :D
1: Mark should have stayed black. I'm sorry, but it just made way more sense.
2: There were few voices in the original. what little voice there was was completely mimicked by the English voice actors, to the point where they might as well have just kept the original voices and not even bothered dubbing the cutscenes.
3: The new environment is fucking lazy. We went from a full 3d environment to a 6 piece JPeg.

Personally I don't mind jpop as much. It works for The World Ends With You. It works for the boss theme to this game. What they have for the engrish lyrics-ridden battle theme in this one does not match the mood of the game, which is a very dark mood. It doesn't work, it doesn't fit, and I don't know why it's in there.

:( You know those people that say that japan has one the most richest culture in the world? Well... being that the case, at times I can´t help but wonder how did they come to this, being virtually incapable of writing lyrics in a single language... ;A;
@buntado6 well, it's like if Bungie decided "hey, let's write a song in Japanese for our next game", I doubt a majority of Bungie staff have no idea where to begin, then they just decide one of their random interns that was in a Japanese language class to write it for them. Sure, they probably would've benefited from actually hiring someone to do it, but realistically, the targeted audience probably doesn't even know the language.
I actually like the new battle theme a lot, I think it's fun and catchy and upbeat. I enjoy it. Although P4 still has my favorite battle theme out of the Persona series.
What are you guys talking about? XD It's Yumi Kawamura. She also does most of the songs from Persona 3 and some from Persona 4. Shihoko Hirata is the main singer for Persona 4, and Lotus Juice does all the rap songs. Kita Shuhei sings the OP for the anime and Persona 3 Portable.

@swordfish1390 Dude, everyone thinks the remake is better. Some of us would just like an original music option, is all. Of course, taste is subjective, so why not include both, right? And hey, Atlus is doing exactly that for the Persona 2 remake.

@MichiruGolden I think it's on purpose. I know Japanese singers who pronounce english really well. It's just Meguro's style, it's the same with SMT3: Nocturne. In this case it's as if japanese high schooler trying to sing in english, this is pretty much what it would sound like.

How is this even a battle song? Sounds like a whiny engrish speaking transsexual singing his favorite My Chemical Romance song while having his balls caressed by a mace.
At about 35 seconds in, what the hell does she say? It...it sounds like "All my whities begged you, 'read me porn!'". And I really, really doubt that's correct.
IDK why everyone wants "DHARK " battle themes, I really like this one. Even better than the PSX version, it's nice and catchy. It does have that "dark feeling" in the beginning and then it gets a bit upbeat and optimistic (which P1's cast is a bit) near the end so IMO, it suits the game.
I know a lot of people are going to hate this comment, but I absolutley love this battle theme. So much so, I think it's better than the original ps1 theme. Don't get me wrong, I really like the original battle theme, but I thought it was a bit too dark and pumping for a normal battle theme, and left no sense of darkness for the boss themes. This one is is much more simple and catchy, which is what a normal battle theme should be.
I love what Shoji Meguro did with the music. Balancing the music he fostered in P3 and 4 while at the same time maintaining a dark overtone from the original.
If you find this more Annoying than P4's tracks with lyrics. You need your priorities in order. This is a huge improvement over P4's Tracks with Lyrics.
1. I decided that it was "leave" instead of "live" because it makes more sense, what with the song being a death analogy and all. Besides, headphones or not (which I've worn extensively while interpreting this), it's hard to make out with the Engrish.
2. I meant to type "keep". Dunno why I typed "leave".
3. "All I sent you" doesn't make much sense if it's being sung by the main character. "Life" makes more sense given the plot of the game.

First of all, no they are not. If it was perfect intelligible then I wouldn't need fucking lyrics so I can understand what they're saying. The opening to Persona 4 was so hard to understand until you look at some lyrics to finally get what it is they're saying.
And what's wrong with the Japanese? The fact that they feel some necessity to speak our language in such an awful way and make it entirely unintelligible because it sounds cool to them. This is also a problem with America and weeaboos.

I love what Shoji Meguro did with the music. Balancing the music he fostered in P3 and 4 while at the same time maintaining a dark overtone from the original.

If you find this more Annoying than P4's tracks with lyrics. You need your priorities in order. This is a huge improvement over P4's Tracks with Lyrics.

This is identical from Aztyph's translation but I think i got it right where he/she got some words possibly wrong.
1. If you hear it with headphones you'll here live without any e sounds to it
2. Keep them on the coat rather than leave them on the coat rack again with headphones you here k for keep rather than an L for "leab"(leave).
3. switched life with I in the worries all i sent you since with headphones again, you don't hear an L for life but just an i for "All i sent you"

1. I decided that it was "leave" instead of "live" because it makes more sense, what with the song being a death analogy and all. Besides, headphones or not (which I've worn extensively while interpreting this), it's hard to make out with the Engrish.
2. I meant to type "keep". Dunno why I typed "leave".
3. "All I sent you" doesn't make much sense if it's being sung by the main character. "Life" makes more sense given the plot of the game.

First of all, no they are not. If it was perfect intelligible then I wouldn't need fucking lyrics so I can understand what they're saying. The opening to Persona 4 was so hard to understand until you look at some lyrics to finally get what it is they're saying.
And what's wrong with the Japanese? The fact that they feel some necessity to speak our language in such an awful way and make it entirely unintelligible because it sounds cool to them. This is also a problem with America and weeaboos.
