I never get tired of hearing LJJ's voice. Just the right amount of piano to get the message across. Laid back but dangerously beautiful! Stupid Atlantic Records did not have the good sense to issue this cut in the 50's. Really, really Chicago Blues Royality LJJ is!
@The12holes i feel the same about his voice and for me it's the same for his piano playing. i have a live album inc. 'she going to sell my monkey' and 'nine below zero' front cover quote,otis spann 'he beat me at my own game' i dont know if thats a genuine quotation its hard to think of beating otis spann but its all very apt because you dont get much better than ljj and his piano style is very rich and distinctive very free and loose great for dancing and getting drunk to big feeling and mean.
