Very much in the Mochet spirit. I love it!. I have had this on my radar for almost as many years as you, but I have not had the ability to pull it off to date. You are an inspiration! I want to get to the Micro Car museum to get to see a Mochet velo car in person,,,,
Hi Paul - just visited you web site and was amazed by what youu have made. There is both modern cool designs and some old school stuff that is still very good in its own right. Some of the quadcycles tricycles are similar to the ideas I hv had in my head since I was a kid - but hv never had the enginering skills/expertise or the parts and tools lying about to even get started. I just bought a Scott MTB that I plan to put electric motor on which will be a challenge. Im sure your very proud.of yrs
This is very good what you have accomplished, you designed this to carry 2 x people which does make it quite large. if I had the skils would love to buildsomething similar but approx half the width a foot less length andan electric hubmotor on the front and the peddle drive to the back that would make it a 2 x wheel drive bike and you could house the batteries (48V and electrics ) in the boot. I would also put a perspex roof on so protexcted from rain and handlebars instead of steering wheel.
I first saw one of these on the microcar museum webstie and have always wanted to build one since. Fantastic! What year was this at BRC I'd love to see it in person. I'm totally inspired now.
I really like the way you have injected some style into your design - it has a completeness as well a minimalism that a lot of garage projects just don't have.
I think it would look fantastic with two old fashioned bullet shaped dynamo lights on the front - like a frogeye sprite!
can you make it solar powered love it

I have one rim brake on a rear wheel. Seeing this was designed for Burning man, which is flat as a pancake, one brake was all that was needed.

may i ask how you did the brakes?

The vehicle weighs under 100 pounds. 2011 was the first year I had it at burningman

No plans as of yet, and yes, it is definitely patterned after the Mochet Velocycle.

YES!!! I'm glad to see someone else has picked up using coroplast for their body work, for it's lightness and cost, it's the best stuff for panels!!

Awesome! It looks sort of like a Citroen, but I suppose that's just the French styling.

You're welcome. I'm happy to share.
There's no money in patenting an idea anyway.
China will just copy it and sell it for less.

Love it . You inspire me to want to make something similar. Thanks for that.
