If id still refuses to bring back Keen, then somebody else has got to do it! They should start by remaking the two saga's as two whole downloadable games, and then after that, they should release the saga that never saw the light of day "The Universe Is Toast!" and make it 2D, just like the first two. And then, give Keen a 3D game. I beg any professional game designer who knows what makes a good Keen game to make this happen!!
@StrawberryGuy86 I know your comment was posted over a year ago and you may even know about this by now, but "Ceilick" has been making a mod trilogy for The Universe is Toast. Keen 7 and 8 are already available, with Keen 9 almost finished.

@StrawberryGuy86 thats not the case its really that apogee still owns the rights to commander keen and tom hall has been trying to gets the rights for so long now but apogee refuses and hall stated that if he ever gets actually gets the rights he will make a full blown 3d version probably on wii
@sovietcabbagefarmer No Apogee/3d realms does not own the Keen licence Id does look it up(plus if Id didn't own the series then why is it listed on their site, Steam and any other source as being owned by Id software?), Apogee/3D Realms who no longer exist just published them.

@DdlyHeadshot why does dosbox have a built in recorder but they weren't smart enough to create a save state option. Try playing 'prince of persia' repeatedly :S
@LAHrebirth Possibly because the average DOS game takes a lot more memory, graphics, etc than the NES and is more unpredictable. With consoles, everything is stored in predefined slots. With a computer, you can swap to any segment supported by memory and HDD - DOSBox would have to save a 4GB file just to make sure it had all the memory!

Does anyone remember Keen Dreams? I don't know if it was an actual installment in the series or just a promotional expansion or something along those lines. I remember the concept of it was that Billy was asleep and he was having nightmares in which he battled evil vegetables. Also, instead of his jeans, purple t-shirt and red chucks, he wore pajamas.
