  • from 1:28 onwards he is telling dumbasses to stay in the dark because they are too stupid for enlightenment

  • hes pissed because they killed his president. yea me too. thing is nobody gives a shit. go smoke some fucking pot you will feel better about it.

  • I love his impersonation of dumb hillbillies

  • @StephenWestSyd i know! it's brilliant

  • Whoooo!

  • BILLY IS A GOD NOW.

ALL THE CRIMINALS IN THE GOVERNMENT CAN GO EAT THEIR OWN POO.

  • Bill would have OVERWHELMING material

    nowadays...

  • Change "American Gladiators" to "Jersey Shore" and we're up to date.

  • @Dawnjah well put

  • bill hicks is more a superman than a mere man because just like the man of steel he understands the concept of never lying which is also standing up for justice! and on a personal note F**K the american way!

  • what time IS Gladiators on?

  • Still very relevant today. Obama and the Federal Reserve bleeding and crashing our civilian economy with wars and loans; bailouts in the trillions that mysteriously disappear in the reserve. Pushing for a one world, paperless, microchipped NWO and Americans don't know anything because they follow the government-owned media. Yes RFID chips in humans by 2014 unless we do something now. Ron Paul for 2012. Time to wake up America and return to prosperity. Google it RFID in humans.

  • @p4horror Not to mention his signing of the NDAA and Congress trying to pass the Enemy Expiration Act.

  • @The4thGuy Yes those bill which very much end our freedom of speech liberties. I just can't believe that Ron Paul is always 3rd or 4th in the polls when so many know that he's are only hope. It's President Ron Paul or our sovereignty dies. People it's that serious. We can't have another 4 years to sink any lower with another puppet in office and Romney and those other candidates are puppets. I'm hoping this election isn't rigged and I hope people start researching themselves what's brewing.

  • @p4horror Its too bad that everyone wants the government to take of them. If you have freedom you have freedom for the good or the bad and nobody wants to accept that part. I find it funny that Greek philosophers thousands of years ago said a democracy couldn't last because the people trying to get power will just promise more and more stuff.

  • @p4horror Don't go by the poles. Manipulation is the word. Or "Go back to bed America".

  • @deec269 Well I assure you that whatever the media shows doesn't sway me. If they showed Ron Paul with only 1% of the vote, I will still vote for him. It's not about that, but there's plenty of retarded Americans that swallow whole whatever the boob tube media tells them. And there's where the problem lies. I spread the word the word to everyone I speak to about politics. I'm afraid the voting results are rigged. People do the paper votes!! Not the electronic votes! Those can be easily modified.

  • @p4horror its already happening man theres a family in florida that had the chip inserted into their new born infant its a sad reality but IT IS HAPPENING...maybe you knew about this or maybe not just figured say that haha

  • Bills not dead. He's in hiding in Montana. He knew too much and they were on to him. Bread and Circus like in ancient Rome= American Gladiators= 100 channels of shit="reality" tv. Thats right; go to Walmart and buy the shit the gov. wants you to by. Give back civil liberties so you can "be safe" dont mind the man behinde the curtan, dont question. Laugh at "GET R DONE" and act like a dumbass fool; the MAN likes that. My God I fear for this nation.

  • the bastard child of Thoreau and Nietzsche.

  • Doesnt matter if you like American Gladiators or not :) Please turn OFF any mainstream media and gently and as nature intented, grow back what they take from you; The Clue, Creativity, Brain Cells, REPLACE APATHY WITH EMPATHY NOW! please.. Okay? :D

  • This man was hundreds of years before his time. If we ever catch up to him as a species.

  • @MeteoritesMusic Don't forget Dancing With The Stars, any News channel, Kartrashians, and E entertainment.

  • I like American Gladiators... :/

  • I like Bill Hicks, and think he's a pretty smart guy. That's why it makes it a little painful to watch him make a fool of himself with this dumb conspiracy theory clip. :/

  • @tigerriot

Then don't watch it dumbass. Go back to watching Penn and Teller's greatest hits or whatever else you do to keep your head in the sand dipshit.

  • @tigerriot He didn't actually believe that, it was ironic. He wa making a point about the media and the control it has over people, that they can believe any old stupid shit.. maybe, sir, comedy is not for you

  • @tigerriot I think it's less about the theory or more about the idea that people don't question a damn thing. They are too consumed with bullshit... i.e. American Gladiators, Jersey Shore, yadda yadda. The government shouldn't be completely trusted, as they have lied to us about the most important of things even recently. I do think the Kennedy conspiracy is a bit far-fetched, but I will never disagree that Americans today are more apathetic and unconcerned than they should be.

  • I was only 3 When JFK bought it. I was fed the official version in eighth grade and NEVER have I bought that stupid story. But yes Bill was not ahead of his time he was however trying to warn people to wake up, a revolutionary task for comics in his day

  • people are still defending the official bstory. i just dont know why....

  • I am sorry people but Bill Hicks was not ahead of his time What the hell are you all going on about he simply was a man of truth, he simply told the truth and 99% of people did not get it because it did not compute with there mainstream programming. No pussy has, does or is telling the truth in any way shape or form so please. But the sad thing is you are all so programmed that you think telling the truth is somehow something comedians will do in the future. Bill must be spinning in his grave

  • Ppl his last shows were stateside cuz he knew he was dying and didn't want to leave his family don't believe watch

American " The Bill Hicks Story"

    Unless u believe in creationism

  • @ thegiftedmedia ordinary? Your retarded ass must not have listened to Bill you must be a fundamentalist Christian rt. All I got to say is fossil keep talking ill throw it over your head

  • @ thegiftedmedia. What you don't understand stand bill was 32 when he died had he lived to George's age he would have been miles ahead it took most ppl 20 yrs to catch up to Bill Hicks you gotta take ppl in there time frame as well George was older than Bill before he even caught on I like him but he's no Bill Hicks

  • A man ahead of his time we always kill the ppl who know and remember its just a ride r.I.p. Bill we love you and will never forget you

  • I find Hicks very ordinary in comparison to Carlin.

  • @thegiftedmedia I think its their delivery. Carlin had a very streamlined, rapid fire delivery. He was very well rehearsed with his material. Hicks could be more down-to-earth and personable in his delivery but he could also switch to being very crazed (almost pushing madness). Both were from that same cloth of cynicism towards religion, politics, and the corporate world and both had the talent of weaving their critical insight of the world into thought-provoking and controversial stand-up.

  • @ReeseMac Yes, thank you for your well articulated comment. Very true. I didn't mean to belittle Hicks. It's just that because some of their material topics were the same, comparisons are bound to result. And when you do compare, Carlin is miles ahead. I can imagine myself doing what Hicks did, but to emulate Carlin would take too much preparation and effort. A true master of his craft.

  • @thegiftedmedia yeah...a good deal of Carlin's material was a verbal challenge (almost like tongue twisters) but he delivered them with impressive ease.

  • @thegiftedmedia Hicks was more deliberate in delivery. Hicks ran out of time. I love both he and George Carlin to pieces.

  • This is actually from Bill's last show in the UK called Revelations.

  • @MrDarkTides It wasn't his last show. It was the last video release done of a performance of his. If I'm not mistaken, this was filmed during the second half of '92. He passed in February '94, and his final performances were done stateside a couple months before his unfortunate passing.

  • @WookieeBlaylock Last show in the UK dude

  • @MrDarkTides Ahh, right! My bad.

  • @WookieeBlaylock No my bad necessary dude. We all appreciate Bill!

  • @WookieeBlaylock His last stateside performance was at Igby's, i have the audio tape.

    Sad loss

  • He wasn't ahead his time, he just was. Everything around him was behind the time, and still is. This is a country created on a double standard- by slaveowners whom proclaimed "All Men Are Created Equal."

    ...Oops, wrong meeting!

  • @btuc401

Smart people go before their time every time. Good for him he doesn't have to live in this shit hole anymore.

  • @btuc401 and this country still seems to have a double standard. Personal responsibility applies to everybody who isn't a wealthy business owner. So they get bailouts and handouts as a reward for failing.

  • @btuc401

Except Thomas Paine, he pissed off Thomas Jeferson because he kept adding an amendment that would free slaves haha. There are smart people all around, you just have to look. There is no time to be ahead of or behind, it's all a ride.

  • @btuc401 We all appreciate your regurgitated George Carlin line. Next time put quotations on the entire sentence! Or come up with an original thought.

  • "YOU ARE FREE TO DO AS WE TELL YOU." What a depressing statement. I would like this to change. Will it? Not in my lifetime.

  • @gotalittlecaptain we could all change it my friend, its just that most people would rather be entertained in life rather then figuring out whats real, they dont want things to change.

  • @MrAbstract420 I would rather be entertained too, but sometimes reality is hard to ignore. Maybe I need a lobotomy.

  • @MrAbstract420 exactly :/ think of all that we as a human race are capable of. we have the capacity but not all of us have the desire.

  • does anyone else find this startling relevant to what's happening now with the protests on wall street? #occupywallstreet. It seems that working class Americans are finally fed up with the wealth disparity and are taking to the streets. Bill Hicks was truly ahead of his time because he saw this coming from a mile away.

  • Fate, it seems, is not without a sense of irony.

  • you have to choice to watch any tv show or belive or be interested in anything you want, your not being told what to do

  • this is one of the only things i disagree with bill hicks on. it did come from the back but hit jfk in the right side of the head, thus pushing his head foreward towards the left. i think you might dabble in physics bill, or you just havent thoguht about that yet. if he was shot on the side of the head, the other side of the head wouldve been blown out.....:P im not saying this COULD NOT of been a conspiracy, i dont know.... but the govt does some shady shit and thats a fact.

  • @tbone81395 You lost all credibility when you said "COULD NOT of."

  • @deanlo

how did i lose credibility? please enlighten me.

  • @deanlo Just a pet peeve. It's not grammatically correct to say 'could of.' What makes it worse is you apparently already knew of the contraction 'would've.'

Also, if you had actually watched the video of the assassination and/or studied it, you would've known that the witnesses heard shots from two different directions -- the one you referred to that hit his neck and the one Bill was talking about that hit him square in the forehead.

  • I would love to have heard his take on 9/11!

  • I'm finally figuring out the truth at age 22 with the assistance of the internet. But how THE FUCK did Bill figure all this shit out?

  • weird that not long after this show he died, sadly

  • @diphaus82 Not precisely, I made what were clearly accurate approximations based on my previous experience of similar things and on the context within which those people discussing it did so. Thusly glib extrapolations pointing to me knowing nothing about it are silly. Your argument would apply to anything i've never actually seen with my own eyes, such as the canary islands. I still know about them and can discuss them if I so wish.

  • @diphaus82 Fair enough, as aforementioned by yours truly I have and will never look it up. Sounds shit.

  • Replace the word "gladiators" with "idol", and this entire video is still relevant to this day in mid 2011

As a matter of fact, it's more relevant today than it ever was

  • Shut up about Zeitgeist. I have never looked it up and never will do. The principle of referencing some ideology claiming to know 'the truth' is simply another way to sap the independant and mind.

If you want to find truth my advice is:

    1. Grab a cup of coffee or do something else that you find helps to relax and think clearly.

    2. Sit down then think long and hard.

    3. Repeat every day until you die.

This is of course only advice, feel free to come up with a way of thinking yourself! :)

  • Here's American Gladiators on 56 fucking channels !!!

  • Zeitgeist had SOME truth but it also contains so much disinformation and misinformation; the films even make grand claims that it doesn't substantiate with any evidence.

  • If you haven't heard of them look up "Zeitgeist". They explain so much of our fucked up government that it will make your head spin. Bill hicks knew a lot of this stuff.

  • If he were still alive he would have updated this to 9/11.

  • we have become so accustomed to being lied to, that those who expose the truth are deemed, extremists, radicals, conspiracy theorists....

    increased internet control

tapping and monitoring of everything, (texting, internet traffic, cellphone calls/conversations all kept on record)

america jumps into wars so nonchalantly,

workers rights dwindling ever so slowly. they are going to call us delusional up until they clasp the fucking shackles .

    sorry wrong meeting.

  • Somehow this video is great comment to current events in Libya. Go back to bed, America. And turn off your fucking brains.

  • Research the NWO. 9/11 was an inside job. Beware the bailed out banks plans for world government.

  • @meshblorg don't research the NWO, watch Zeitgeist!

  • @FredNugent23 Zeitgiest? Oh that commie-liberal "everything is class warfare" drivel?

  • @Catalysis24 pahahaha! Are you nuts?? Get your facts straight before jumping into stupid conclusions! Zeitgeist is a whole new ideology, neither "commie" or capitalist, it's the solution to every World-Class crysis, being it social, monetary or religious. So mister, try to read something about it, because what you said is completely wrong.

  • Genius! :D

  • What a man

  • Who killed Bill Hicks?

  • @operationnorthwoodz I reckon they poisoned him..

  • Of his time, ahead of his time and still relevant. A Genius.

  • @MrHarrylime79 Bill Hicks will always be relevant, because he reveals and tells the truth. For this same reason, I think he will be always be ahead of ANY time.

  • @MrHarrylime79 as long as the government remains corrupt and greedy, this will always be relevant =/

  • @RasheemH Actually, as long dissenters like Hicks are a minority, the apathetic, brainwashed, cowardly masses will continue to ALLOW the few who comprise the corporate/state nexus to deceive them, fuck them over, and use their tax dollars to slaughter millions of innocent families in foreign lands in the name of corporate profits, er, I mean, "spreading democracy" (while simultaneously stripping away and/or drastically abridging civil liberties here in the US) than this will remain relevant.

  • @TheeUnidentified I'm sorry, you used the word "Democracy" sarcastically when you should have just said "Totalitarianism"

  • I hear ya, how about supporting Glass-Steagall? I hope you aren't too cynical to get in this fight?

  • @MrHarrylime79 He is even way ahead of our time, and probably will be until we all evolve as One.

  • I love that hand-movement at 1:42

  • JFKs mistake was to try and disband the Federal Reserve. That and he pissed off the Unions and Organized Crime. Oh wait, the Unions are organized crime.

  • @Dragdamar

He also spoke about secret societies and urged the medias not to be a tool of dumbing down people but to try and inform them the best way that they could. He also did not support the Bay of the Pigs invasion and decapitated the administration of the CIA, including director Allen Dulles which 2 years later would be on the Warren Commission investigating JFK's death...but its just a funny coincidence...right?

  • This shit = the truth!

  • It's so sad this man is gone.

  • @paintthetwndead Although I know what you mean...I just HAVE to say, BILL IS NEVER GONE! As long as people like you and I keep his spirit alive...

  • @paintthetwndead it's not.... think how shit he would been now
