I'm Thai, and I believe we're mixture of Laos, Cambodian, ethnic Burmese, & Southern Chinese....depending on the region of the country.
Thailand is similar to America.....we greatly derived our cultures from where the people came from through ancient wars & migration. As time passed, we also developed our own unique language, customs, & traditions as well.
However, Thai people have a closer cultural affinity to Laos the most.
