It is sad that I used to not care so much about Nepali folk song as I was growing up there. Now I miss it as I live so far away. Great song... They say blues was first created in the streets of NYC and New Orleans to express pain and hardship... this is Nepalese equivalent of blues, folk songs. Love them.

Thank you for sharing. Yes, these are Nepali Folk tunes. These tunes are the medium to express local voices. Generally, these people do fishing as a profession ( majhi, gaine, gandarbha = singers) and they use sarangi and their singing skills to express their living. so sad that our country lies behind the line of poverty. .
