I kinda disagree. I am a nice guy but I am not obsessive or a doormat. But guess what?- I still get passed up for the jerk. No offense to any of the women here, but when women say that they are not attracted to jerks and want a "nice guy" I find it extremely hard to believe. I believe there are 3 main reasons why a woman would be attracted to a jerk or an asshole

1. They are desperate and have low self esteem

2.They are dumb and immature and buy into all this "bad boy" stuff (fortunetly many of them grow out of this and the ones whp don't live to regret it sooner or later)

Guys who have lots of girls after them are desirable socially, but not necessarily personally. The girl may like you as a status symbol, but (as mentioned in the video above) if you act like a jerk and totally blow her off (by paying attention elsewhere) for every other girl that happens to be in the vicinity, she'll get mad, thinking that you're just trying to get her to be part of your harem in order to boost your own social status.

When you're in a relationship, you should treat your partner as someone who is special to you (if she really does mean something special to you). If you flirt with everyone, you're pretty much showing her that she means as much to you as the next gal, and she'll be gone to find someone who appreciates her for who she is and can show her that. I have read enough articles in Men's Health Magazine (thanks to Yahoo) about how women prefer to date jerks. That's just B.S. Who in their right mind wants to be treated poorly? Telling men they need to be rude, cheap, etc. to get a woman is non-sense. If a woman doesn't respond to a man's attention, affection, and attractivness it's just not meant to be. The heart of a matter is she just isn't into you. Move on. The same is true for women.
