Nice hearing that little Honda wringing it's guts out. The GTR driver is bit of a wanker, should have let you pass. Better yet, he should just stick to dragstrips.
No doubt the driver in the s2000 is way better than the gt-r driver. The gtr does have the advantage in the straights, but the s2000 weighs a good amount less so it can corner better. The AWD in the gtr helps, but not enough really. On this course with a good driver in each, the gtr will win hands down. On a tighter course with less opportunity for the gtr to use that power, the s2000's light weight will close the gap.
the gtr should have been faster than that. GTR got loads of power and can corner like it's on rail. Brake's a little weak. Driver just not skilled enough? maybe?
I cruise with this guy. His mods are 4.54 rear gear and the vortex spoiler. He's stock other than that. That gtr was killing him in the straits but he was catching it in the turns. The s2000 would have had better lap times than the gtr had it let him pass. On track days at heartland, you have to be signaled to pass.
Also, the gt500 doesn't have fully independent rear suspension and it weights more than 2 s2000s. It also sits way high up and gets lots of body roll. <3 I have an ap1.

This has to be sunday at the track because all the cars your "chasing" down arent even giving on it, and their waving you by.....TOO FUNNY! Is that GT500 going 35mph? The finger things not cool either ,poor sportsmanship. Yes the S2000 handles but get something that acually goes fast down the straight....... ...nuff said
You do realize that all that handling allows a good driver to set the car up so that you can maintain speed into the straightaways, right? Most other cars can't maintain the same speed coming around corners, so they need better acceleration to get up to the same speed the S2000 can maintain out of the corners.
Considering that this guy's on a road course, I kinda doubt he's too worried about having a car that "actually goes fast down the straight", as you put it.
Also how was flipping the GTR driver the bird poor sportsmanship? There's no way he could've even seen him do it. If he got right up beside him and flipped him off, yeah, that'd be poor sportsmanship. He was just goofing around.
