I use a whites GM3 and love it found pounds of gold with it just wish it had the different high mid and low kHz that is a great option But know mater what you buy if you don't fine tune the detector and spend hours and hours looking you won't get what you pay for, the detector Will do it's job it comes down to you.
thanks i got a eureka gold what you showed me with the sensitivity made alot of sense i have this prob with the back ground noise that goes away with prop setting of the sensitivity THANKS
Well I have watched this video many of times and have now completed a estimated time of 100 hours of use on my Minelab Eureka Gold. If I could do it over I would not buy it. It works no better than my Garrett Ace 350 which was $750.00 less. Good Luck if you purchase one.
@VideoMontaze I'm not really quailified reccomend any metal detector. I have an ACE 350 and a Minelab Eureka Gold. I can say that I've gone out 3 times a weeks since June to an area with one of the heaviest cluster of mines anywhere. I have found nothing with either one of my detectors. I have searched in a few shafts, many tailing piles and dried gulches leading away from the mines.
@dave19554 Tnx mate, i not planing to buy metal detector for gold. I would like to use it for any metal (exploring battles from WW2, and medieval). Thank you very much for your answer.
@dave19554 But the Acer 350 dose not have three kHz settings, you will find more gold with minelab plus the Acer 350 is a coin relic detector the eureka is a fine tune gold detector for big to tinny nuggets, coins and deep relics.
@dave19554 I think people trash it because they cannot afford or want to pay that much for it, thereby justifying a cheaper option as the better one. And for them, it probably is.I got one for Christmas and I'm pretty stoked. I know, I am a spoiled lucky fucker I know. Anyway, I cannot imagine it doing a WORSE job than something cheaper .
is this a real good detector or its just propaganda? the truth please i am thinking of buying one!!! i dont care if i have to learn o lot im a fast learner
I have the Minelab Sovereign, I am simply in love with it - if this unit (Eureka) is anything like it or better I'm getting it too! I once found a gold ring with an emerald - the jewlery shop I took it to for apprasile gave me $4500.00 for it - I have been hooked ever since.
Does the track speed effect on how deep the machine is searching? Because You were in slow track at first then swiched to fast track. Also I have a tesoro supertraq. I'm wondering how the Eureka gold is better. Because you said It was the worlds best VLF detector. I want the best. I would like to have the best VLF detector for gold nuggets I can buy for around a thousands dollars! Thanks Brad
Great video. All detector companies should do themselves a favor and create videos such as this. I, too, have lost my ability to hear certain frequencies (tones). For me, the ability to adjust the tone on this detector may be the deciding factor to buy one. I live in California. The deserts in CA look just like the desert in this video. Maybe it's because CA and NV are next to each other! I am anxious to heed Kevin's advice.
The Eureka is my favorite VLF for gold hunting. Its stock coil is well suited to hunting rocky areas. With is 3 frequencies its like having 3 detectors for the price of one. The most overlooked feature is the tone control, the ability to adjust the tone to your hearing is key in recognizing those faint targets. Just check ebay and see how many (used) are up for sale compared to the "others" . It's the one savvy prospectors keep.
How well does this detector work in rocky terrain? I am new to gold detectors and I was hoping to find one that would work great in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado?
That's the skinny on metal detecting. If you ever get to Montana, we'll hit one of the several hundred mines and you can show me how to do it. :)
