I know, I did not talk about functionality just the "unique" factor.. dont thumb me down for my opinion.. it's just that.. an opinion.. and I said both were great phones..it just doesn't have the "apple factor" and I'm not saying that is WORST than the iphone.. never said that you know..
s27z said iPhone is overhyped. Tell that to the 30 million sold iPhones worldwide (probably even more than that at the moment).
The 30 million is not much, iPhone is a smartphone. A lions share of all the cash flowing in the mobile-phone market is smart-phones being sold because of their hefty price-tag.
It is not about which phone is better, it´s about which one sells better. N900 seriously kicks ass with Linux and hardware, but lacks the main market potential. We like it, others don´t.
Most people just go to a store and ask if they can see the iPhone (the name they had heard somewhere). They try it and buy it. The end. No big deal.
N900 is the one for me, because it´s different from the brain-liquifying gaming piece of cake-mobiles (iPhone&others).
Firefox, full flash, 5Mpix camera, fm-transmitter, infrared-port, HD touchscreen with the best resistive touchscreen of all etc are now in the palm of my hand.
I really don't think that this is an iPhone killer, as it packs so many features that the typical iPhone lover will find it complex, bulky and generally unattractive. It lacks the polish, finish and hype of Apple products.
Let's just keep in mind that there are many phones better than the iPhone. It's all a matter of technical knowledge; usually, people who boycott the iPhone are those who know which phones are the real deal.
And yes, the iPhone is overrated and not the best phone. I just wish people (apple fanboys most especially) would stop bitching about the app store of iTunes because it sure as hell does not interest a lot of people like me.
@JackDuran you make a good point but it could be an iphone killer if only nokia would sell it as such. Nokia never intended for the n900 to be an iphone killer it is more of a hardware/software collaboration into what could be achieved. still in myview it is '" the " iphone killer. Apple buyers are just sheep ( lambs to the slaughter ).
yes, because its has the same hardware specs as the iphone. BUT the n900 has multitasking, better camera, higher screen resolution, better video playback with divx/xvid/h.264 support, an open source OS (maemo) so lots of FREE apps, better browser which supports FULL flash, qwerty keyboard, 4 home screens which are fully customizable, FM transmitter, IR port which you can use to turn your N900 in a fully working remote control.
I really don't think the N900 is an "iPhone-Killer"... IMO they are on both totally different leagues.. iPhone is flashy and all that.. N900 is more of a computer (not as flashy, sleek as the N900).. But if you ask me which one I would prefer.. I would say the N900 that's why I pre-ordered it.. :)
well i guess in that case, we can only compare iphones with other iphones, because no other phone on this planes runs the iphone OS.
And that is the most stupid argument i have heard from an iphonefanboy,
and about the keyboard, are you seriously retarded? you see that as a reason that we cant compare them to each other. seriously, what the hell? The N900 offers both touch and real keyboard, the iphone LACKS a real keyboard, now thats a 1-0 for the N900 right there.
I've got a nokia n96. Second, N900 doesn't support onscreen keyboard. And why are you comparing a pure touchscreen device with a device that has a keyboard?
Что то ФФ на видео нет вообще.

I couldn't agree more. N900 is for the tech-savvy; iPhone is the no-brainer smartphone that anyone can use.

There are many "iphone-killer" phones out there, and the N900 is definitely one of them.
Its really annoying that ppl talk about iphone as soon as there is a new phone coming, stop that.
Iphone isnt that good anyway. its really over-hyped.

And this is different from the iPhone.
They don't run same OS. iPhone doesn't have a keyboard.
You can't compare them to eachother.

@HKSarkdog The Nokia N900 actually does have an on -screen keyboard. Get your facts right before you state your opinion.
