This scarred me for life when I was a kid, like when i was 6 I first saw it. It was sad to me atm because of the part with the girl humanoid and how the guys jumped her, it was kinda sad to me lol. Also the part with the robots getting married I cried off of that cuz I was wondering why they couldn't get married xD
I wish that these creatures, androids, robots, "machines" existed. For me, they are real, for me, they are "human", for me, they are equal. A relationship is not made by bonding someone, a people into bondage, for that is cruelty and unmoral. I wish, with all my heart that I would have the honour to meet a syntethic person, and maybe one day, we all will.
I would really like some great directors to make a full length movie about the deep philosophical thoughts animatrix is based on. If done properly I think it could be really great, but scary and despairfull. To deep thoughts about life, infinity, endlessness, awearness, intelligece can be dangerous to pursue..
@hcpiano A concept very similar to what you mention is the Technological Singularity, Very interesting stuff, I suggest you look into it. A movie based on such a topic would be great :)
@Runswithscissors111 Yeah, thanks for the anwser. I just watched the documentary about Ray Kurzweil and his predictions of the technological singularity, have you seen it? Interesting stuff indeed :) have a nice day!
@jamesphalanx Well put. I have never thought of that before. But he still kind of is, isnt he? he was never a slave master, but born a slave. That said I dont think "heroeness" is determined by ones side in a case..
I saw animatrix after the movies because it came later. But I would prefer to have it that way, because it made me watch the movie again and again and again
Incase someone who hasn't watched the Matrix movies reads this comment, which is highly unlikely, watch the Animatrix first, makes the movies so much better when you know abit of backstory.
Or just watch the Animatrix by itself. It fucking rocks.
@SlRDancealot I would highly recommend you don't do that. The Animatrix has much more meaning once you understand the consequences of the events told in the Animatrix.

so matrix is a story about the slave masters trying to regain its control. neo is not a hero.

Disturbingly realistic for a hand drawn animation
