Sorry but the Libertarians are useless to me. If the Libertarians ran the USA the entire infrastructure would collapse, because they do not want to support it! The real problem at Fort Hood is this, and anyone with a working brain knows it. Hasan was allowed to go on a shooting spree for a full 10 minutes before he encountered another person with a gun, a civilian LEO had to come save our soldiers because Bill Clinton banned them from carrying arms on base. Amazing how the media fails to mention this. CNN said over and over "there is absolutely no reason soldiers should be armed on base under any circumstances."

wrong, the only soldiers on base that have a loaded firearm are MP and SF. I am a vet and I served during Bush Sr years. You need to check your facts.

Your point is in error. Just because it is a military base it is not the wild west, everyone is not running around with firearms. There are regulations that must be followed, it is part of the culture of the military. If you had ever been in the military then you would not question this. Yet since you obviously have not, you do not understand.

The fact is that a military base is not the wild west, you do not have everyone running around toting a m-60. This is real life, not a video game, this is a base at home, not in Iraq or Afghanistan. Everything is kept track of from guns and ammunition all the way to toilet paper. You cannot have people misplacing military weaponry so it ends up in the wrong hands. Think about what you say.
