  • Saw them last night! LOVED WHEN THEY PLAYED THIS SONG!

  • @GothBratt77 Haha you were at the bp show too?

  • Comment removed

  • NARDCORE!!!

  • I should post up my dads' cover of this song. no Joke, its heavier then this and slayer's. if that's what your into.

  • This is the punk version of Sargent D :)

  • Scott ian brought me here

  • Shit...

  • FIST. FUCK

  • wow....I can see how scott ian came up with march of the sod by listening to this

  • @G0dnomsayn

    at the depths of hell!!!!!!!!!

  • Where can I find this album??

  • Take hits and shread shit.Never quit.

  • they played this when i saw them, awesome... i wanna see them again!

  • Kyle Toucher was a fucking awesome guitar player!

  • @gosoku2 I agree. the guitar playing is amazing and overlooked in this band.

  • @HaulinHearse the guitar playing in this band is awesome to me. i know exactly what you mean....very overlooked.

  • slayeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • I agree with super crack smoke, All you guys should watch police state 4 on youtube, and than 3, and than 2 and than 1, or any fuckin order you want, than watch invisible empire or fabled enemies(documentaries), or fucking something educational, before it's late and everyone's gotta be a fascist or a commie idiot, Either way, get off the left-right paradigm and realize they're all on the same team because no scene is gonna be fun anywhere anymore because of these authoritarian bastards! Wake up!

  • Brandon I believe..

  • @heylucky Actually it's Kyle. This from Plug In Jesus LP.

  • what a whiny promo.. i live in southern california and can tell you the scene didnt destroy itself, the police did, fuck you promo maker you fucking poser.

  • Source of the pick at 1:07 ??

  • the vocals are by brandon or kyle??

  • slayer is orginal and better

  • @ThetrueSpalter This is the original. Slayer covered it.

  • @hoagie13365 oh but slayer version is the awesomnest

  • @ThetrueSpalter slayer owes ALOT to the hardcore scene

  • @meeces13 they know that. that's why they made an entire album dedicated to it. ha ha

  • @rmarino4471 yup

  • @ThetrueSpalter if youre a little kid

  • @meeces13 no -.- bit slayer version is better

  • @ThetrueSpalter if youre a nark

  • @meeces13 what?

  • @ThetrueSpalter Dude of course the cover sounds more appealing to you than this does. Slayer was doing a tribute and trying to take the song to new ground. The original is always best because one thing. this was new and different, like Slayer was at one point. if a new band covered an early Slayer song and rehearsed enough to play arguably better than Slayer does, does that make them more awesome than Slayer? no. It shows that they know their place and respect their elders and inspirations

  • @incomprius so much respect man. thanks for saying what needed to be said

  • @incomprius

    Amen to that

  • what version is this on?

the one i have sounds to new.

  • nardcore at its finest i wished i live in oxnard back in the early 80's

  • This is my angry punk song

  • Slayer covered this song! This band is legendary, and it is a shame that the slayer cover is more heard of than the original.. NARDCORE!! Fucking Dr. KNow rules!

  • NARDCORE!

  • shit shit shit punk is a one thing, metal is another shit thing.

  • @hsbc32

all genres metal and hardcore punk kings!

  • NARDCORE!!!

  • 4 people got fucked in the ass by mr freeze :)

  • @josepunkthrashdude fistfucked!

  • Slayer no dout made a brutal ass cover of this song but nothing beats the original

  • Good grief Brandon, get over it. Its so annyoying how you constantly have to validate your Dr Know position. Yes we all know you were the first singer. blah blah blah Typically, people remember Kyle when they recall Dr Know. Dont get butt hurt.

  • I remember this music, being a Santa Barbara native in HS at the time. Brandon Cruz speaks truth... Lots of good times.

  • to all of you punk historians, this is kyle singing. he was the second singer. i was the first one from '81 to '83. i was in dead kennedys from '01 to '03. like it or hate it, that's the truth. read the info, it's out there.

  • @brandonrandomcruz Well, I trust you say that with pride and not bitterness. And without regret. Yes Dr Know have surely received a rep as one of those underground classics that influanced so many. For people who listen to more mainstream music, and find bands such as Dr Know have influanced them, is like a real treasure trove, when you discover these bands. I was around during that time, but I went through classic metal, to thrash and into HxC from there. Even now I am finding quality classics.

  • @brandonrandomcruz if you are really "the" brandon cruz. please come back to the charleston in bremerton for your next tour. i had to miss the one back in april '09. ridiculous =/

  • call us speed-metal, and we will break your arm

  • Which album is this off of?

  • Fucking cool! I have only heard the Slayer version until now but this is fucking cool.

  • its called thrash. know it, love it.

  • just like nike for fucks sake cant we just do it.

  • i want some nut job high on the ultimate aphrodisiac , jerking off on power with his finger that he can spare on the end everything bo-b i cant spell that botton.

  • actually its more like a spoken word with music, were is weird al now i am going to sacrifice him get captain beef hearts blessing and feed him to dr. demento.

  • dont get stuck in one kind of music,as you grow and evolve or de-evolve with some people your music taste changes, music to me is like a book with music, its a story.

  • my testicles version is always better, the bottom line is it is only a version.

  • Played with these guys in 2004 in Victorville, CA and a dive called Reflections

Decent tunes but they are fucking assholes

  • i cant seem to listen to dr. know enough, does ne 1 know if they still make records?

  • yeah because Slayer is so trendy...lol clown

  • 0:42 he doesn't say "I smoke blunts" he says "Ice Cold Blood" i would know because i have their cd and it has the lyrics :)

  • can someone link me the .jpg of the image that come at 1:00? will be very appreciated

  • @MudokonAbe Go to Google Images, type in "Dr. Know Public Service Announcement". It should be one of the first few pictures.

  • @PunkSkaOi found it, thank you :)

  • yeeeeah, I SMOKE BLUNTS 0:42

  • Slayer's version is better

  • 0:42 did he say i smoke blunts?

  • Kyle, Rik, Ismael and Fred played on this song. Yeah, Slayer's version was good..

    BUT....

if you were a teen in the pit when these guys played live back in the 80's...you'd know that regarding THIS song, Slayer can't touch them. So if you weren't there...please don't compare it, ok? I love Dr. Know and Slayer..but man, those days of early "nardcore" were the shit and it was REAL. No trendy shit, no nothing...just all out true punk.

  • fucking jeff, the punk rocker in slayer.

  • they really know how to destroy their instruments fucking good song. Crossover if I'am hearing it right.

  • I remember this band when I was a teenager in the 80s!

  • my dads the guitar player 4 this band

  • @Justice257 really? i saw them play with fear n agent orange about a year ago and i caught the pick he threw after their set, great fucking show

  • @Justice257 I liked your mom better

  • this sounds great but slayers cover sounds a bit better.

  • @kidpein I love Slayer, but I has to disagree. Punk sounds ten times better in it's rawist form like this.

  • rofl the pic is groundbreaking hehe the 1st pic with that priest getting what he deserves hehe

  • @Leocidal i know, right?

  • Comment removed

  • How the fuck have I NEVER heard of this.

    This kicks so much ass.

  • Nuff said! They stink! Radically stink! How about getting a singer? What's with this upside down cross? Do people think this is cool? Its a very bad thing to do that to the Cross. I love punk and rock music but you don't have to put the Cross in there to make a point. Bottom line, the singing stinkgs.

  • @blueiglooblue You like Punk Rock? This isn't Green Day FYI This is the true Punk.

  • 1:20 fuck yeah

  • What killed the dinosaurs? The Ice Age!

Allow me to break the ice. My name is Freeze. Learn it well. For it's the chilling sound of your doom!!

Rest assured Batman, this is snow joke.

  • dudeeee Xd

i want this song so bad cant find any songs by them to download :(

  • i like th ennew one better i think though because it actually has more energy than the old one.

  • Comment removed

  • the guy on the cover holding the cross look like he could be GG thumbs if you know what im talking about

  • Kinda reminds me of slayers chemical warfare.

  • too bad when these guys, angry samoans, agent orange, and DI came to town, it was a 21+ show.

  • @JoshFuckingAlso who is DI?

  • @seigneurvoland666 one of the sickest punk bands still playing. check them out. they are really sick. look up "DI Guns"

  • @JoshFuckingAlso Hi Josh, I shouldve known to see you around these parts.

  • we are oeople

  • get drunk and skate bowls to this

  • @SuperCracksmoke if u wanna break a bone or get brain damage xD but at least u wont feel it

  • @SuperCracksmoke I get drunk and smoke bowls to this:)

  • @SuperCracksmoke Hell yeah! Skate it up for sure. Have you heard the Slayer cover of this song?

  • Kyle has one of the best punk voices ever IMO. Excellent song by an excellent band,

  • i made flyers 4 balboa newport bch 80 83 young punx around the world hung out ant curfew org aco if so many men died 4 our freedomb why arnt we free im 41 now ...wow good times

  • heds up--Brandon Cruz was on a show in the 70's with Bill bixby aka the hulk early 80's became a surf and skate, punk icon I dont think so is a member of the JAXS the only reason he is on the slide is Dr. Known is from Oxnard and they where from Oxnard aka NARDCORE ....nuff said

  • @Deema1979 Yes, it was called NARDCORE... but Brandon was NOT part of the band until they reunited in the 90's.

  • FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!! I just saw a Dr. Know t-shirt this week. Saw these guys at the Kennel Club a long time ago. Fucking sweet!

  • sick ass album

  • So. Where's the Arnold Batman & Robin clips?

  • Comment removed

  • @therath94 whoever brandon cruz is hes never been in dead kennedys .d.k is jello, klaus, east bay ray and d.h peligro,on all the albums.i know ive listened to them for 24years.

  • @469jasper The real DK are those 4 guys you mentioned. I got to see them live in 1985 as a teen after Frankenchrist came out at the Olympic w/SNFU. Unfortunately when DK reformed w/o Jello on vox for a short time in the early 00's they Ray, Klaus & D.H. did recruit Cruz on vox for several years playing multiple shows. I never went to any: No Jello, no D.K. Then they recruited some young pissant named Jeff...Oh yeah, FYI: D.H. Peligro wasn't the drummer on their first album Fresh Fruit. It was Ted

  • @p4horror i didnt know that, like you said no jello no d.k.i knew ted was the drummer for fresh fruits[i have the vinyl right here],i just didnt mention it.thanx for the info.

  • ..Shows how old I am! That last post from Bandsmedia was under my 13 year old sons log-in.... I'm gettin old! So...any comments... please abuse ME not Him....later...

  • I'll get right to it... I'm 51..was "into" the scene when it started - was in a band - had over 1,000 LP's ...those are records children... and when I listen to ANY Dr Know.. I STILL get fucking pumped. Kyle was incredible .... unreal drumming... great! Anything on Mystic records and This is Boston Not LA still rule...

  • its funny how man songs slayer has covered, even though they are whole different genre.

  • they definitely had a punk influence, being from HB and all. thrash did come out of hardcore punk. i saw a video one of them had a dead kennedys sticker on their guitar. old metallica definately was influenced by punk too

  • @1ntenseenergy Slayer were heavily influenced by Hardcore tough especial Jeff and Dave

  • woooooo im gonna see them tomorrow son! in ventura!

  • fuck u dude, Nardcore 4 LIFE!!! Dr. Know is fucking amazing

  • Fucking nardcore!!! Rulz

  • playin with these guys in 2 days! fuck yea

  • @hesher8 Gonna Go See It :D

  • When and where? plz

  • i've got a great idea. let's all find an awesome song on youtube and argue about its merit. can anyone else think of a better way to pass the time? i submit that you cannot.

excellent song. the defense rests. case closed; judge butt17sex presiding. the jury will be thanked for their time.

  • A tepid, half-hearted round of applause to Slayer for the attempt...but it just doesn't touch the original. Sorry, Slayer, you know I still love you.

  • Slayer cover is sloppy. ..... This is the good shit.

  • Dr Know

  • why bitch about music obviously we r all determined to revolt of the people holding us down the only way we can do that is to gather in masses unity is the only way

  • revolution people we need to organize and fight against the oppression of humanity

  • i love dr.know

  • thats what the fuck im talking about!!!, so well said...

  • raw and powerfull

  • people call it speed metal to make something there not that metal their own

  • slayer did this because at that time gay metal heads came into the hardcore scene

  • Come to italy ;___;

  • i like both versions but this is dr knows song so they win in the end hands down

  • Nah, Slayer killed it dude, no contest.

  • so goddamn good

  • awful

  • usually but in slayers case its way better, cuz they are better musicianist cuz they actually are good

  • my uncle is brandon cruz the singer

  • SLAYER

  • the first time i heard the term 'speed metal' was for dr. know.

when this record came out slayer wore make up on stage and posed for the camera. they were not speed metal or thrash or whatever the fuck... but dr know with kyle, fred, rick and ismael?... the fucking shit....

as for recording technology, check 'show no mercy' against 'plug in jesus'. if you can find 'plug in jesus'.

  • slayer and cannibal corpse, make the songs they cover always better, this song especiially sounds better when slayer Covers it

  • Unlike the Cro-Mags, who were also slow and head-banger-ish, these guys had a charismatic vocalist and gave us some of the (good) craziest songs ever.

  • slow? try and play "Hard Times"

  • scotch, you needs to worries about your own private moments, not everyone else's. You dig?

  • Metal and Punk are both awsome. 'Nuff said!

  • i love both

  • @Punk93Metal you could not speak truer words

  • My favorite band

  • Dr Know rules. true old school punk, awesome punk voice too. the last commenter is an idiot

  • of course asshole.......then why slayer make a cover of this song???? stupid idiot......dr. know its a slayer influence dummass!!!!!!!

  • Slayer made the cover version of this song because slayer wanted to build this song as tough as it is

  • of course, if the slayer version sounds more "agressive" or more "powerful" is because it is SLAYER!!!...they do this cover in 1996 at this time there was better technology at the studios, also slayer are better musicians than dr know,(just my opinion) but why did they do this cover??? because this song inspired slayer to be musicians? maybe, then drknow version i think its from the 80´s??(think so)

but listen original version is listening a perpective of what they want to represent

  • i agree with you about this, slayer they are not my type coz my type is black metal so i listened to the dr. know mr. freeze but his voice doesn't seem so good, i don't know maybe his style.

  • i respect you´re piont of view, but i dont think the same as you, you can´t say .. slayer is better, dr know is much better...that just ... subjective....this is the originall version, nothing else....

  • for any dumbasses out there, this is the original. not slayer.

  • what an evil opening riff

  • Looking for similar "vids" of Aggression. Can't find them anywhere and the name is too common to get results in searches. Any help appreciated.

  • Theres barley any Agression songs i can find..

  • GO DR.KNOW!!

  • the slayer cover of this is good, but not even close to this verson!! this 1's 20 times better than slayer cover!! thanx4 puting this up!

  • Comment removed

  • saw these guys last night in a basment down the street from my house haha walk by the house this morning and they were sitting on the steps

    hella chill guys

  • another kick ass song to play on the drums

  • thanks.thanks

  • fuckin Dr.Know

  • dr. know at their best. badass.

  • hell yeah these kick ass

  • I saw these guys play back in 1986 at CSUN college. Great band. This is definitely Kyles vocals. Kyle is big time movie graphics now.
